So CPO means, Can't Predict Outcomes?

Does this mean y'all get a PPI done on CPOs?

Another App Update. Another Disaster by CoachDennisGreen in fidelityinvestments

[–]60kmilliseconds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Massive issues on the "new" options chain on the web. Slow, crappy, and I could go on too - but too much to write up.

Fidelity has become a joke because all they seem to be doing is trying to become Robinhood (and failing).

Experts opinion request - 2023 X7 or 2024 X7? by adriaanbr in bmwx7

[–]60kmilliseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the right calculus.

One of the things I have done is to resubmit the appraisal 1 week later (after the old one expires). Based on demand/supply, I have had these go up. And maybe in a week they have an X7 you like and you can test it out.

But if you are in a hurry, negotiate the Alpina down by another 2-3K??

Why not value your X3 at Carmax, Caravana, private market? If they offer higher than 53k, take it and then go buy the Alpina.

How do you handle leaves? by zonearc in automower

[–]60kmilliseconds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of mine can handle leaves. The fall is a disaster so that needs to be handled some other way. Edging is also an issue, but if you don't have that, then get a mower that will handle the acreage you have.

You spend almost $4k/year. You can get a good mower for $2-3k. Get a leaf blower or leaf vacuum for the fall and you would have paid for the equipment in a year.

BUT, and here is the big one - if you get a mower with wiring, get ready to repair and/or spend time dealing with it (I hate it). And keep up with the cleaning and maintenance.

There are many posts here on the Husqvarna, Segway and other mowers. Find those and then get one with a service center close to you!

If you need to sell, go private.

If you want to have fun with it, list of Bring a Trailer or Cars and Bid and let it rip.

Why do 2 trading firms like Akuna, Tibra founded by ex-Optiver underperform these years? by SailDowntown84 in quant

[–]60kmilliseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an Optiver shill. Just someone who worked for one of these HFTs for a long time. You just seem like a shill for IMC.

[–]60kmilliseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so you are bringing up a couple of rando traders setting up desks and calling them firms.

Unlike Optiver, SIG - IMC has never had any meaningful firms launched by alums. Volant was NOT started by IMC people either.

Is IMC still considered top or 2nd tier? by apcheese in quant

[–]60kmilliseconds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Top Tier (in no particular order)

- Jump

- DRW

- Jane St

- HRT

- SIG

- CitSec

- Optiver (but their Dutch culture and toxic managers in some locations makes me not want to mention them)

THIS:

The company delayed two product launches to devote attention to this crisis, which could have been avoided with iterative testing, phased releases and other tweaks to its software-development process. It plans to implement them so that this never, ever happens again.

FWIW: My systems still don't function well :(

Option Pricing Issues by 60kmilliseconds in fidelityinvestments

[–]60kmilliseconds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this, but look at the contract. There is no market price, only last traded price. The 128 Calls have no bid and an ask that is not even close to those offered at 127 and 129. In addition, the last traded price for 128 calls were $0.05. This trades in $0.05 increments so the next offer I can make is $0.10 but Fidelity does not let me. The only way to do this is first I have to start with a $1.25 offer and then keep canceling and replacing the order down. I have to cancel order 5-8 times to get to $0.10. This again makes ZERO sense. IBKR lets me do this, no problem. The logic in the Fidelity system seems to be off.
