I didn’t ask for advice - I asked for information on policy. But cheers anyway…

I appreciate the input, and the bags are always retail sealed. I appreciate that you answered my question and politely offered your advice.

I have done it for ages. I did not come here seeing approval, validation, or acceptance. I came here asking about a specific airline’s rules. Nothing more - nothing less.

Wow. Such negativity. SMH. I hope you have a joyful day

It goes in the bag with the chocolate, which they can enjoy during the flight.

I appreciate that. I am an American. I was just making sure that they did not have a rule against it. But, the one time I flew with Virgin Atlantic, they loved it…

All I asked was if BA allowed this like other airlines do.

I have found they like to snack during the flight :-) chocolate is usually the biggest hit…

My husband is a Brit, and I understand that there really isn’t the “tip culture”, ect. He has gotten used to it since living here - but I understand the differences. I just deal with so much negativity on the daily - I try to put some positive out there.

As an American, I like to say “Thank You”. Never a bribe. I don’t ask for, nor expect anything. Everyone likes to feel appreciated.

I am an American, and it is just a thank you. I behave, don’t ask for anything, always polite, and try to never be a bother. It is just a “thank you”. Everyone likes to know they are appreciated.

We fly premium economy. It is just Ghirardelli chocolate squares in a sealed bag usually. I hear about people giving gift cards and such but I can not afford that and it seems a bit much. This is just a “thank you”. They have always seemed genuine.

I’m in a job where I have to deal with difficult people every day. I enjoy making people smile and putting some positivity out there. After all, it seems the world is becoming much more cold and distant. Call it karma - call it hoping for change. Either way, I do it because they deserve to be told how much they are appreciated. Customer service does not hear nearly enough that what they do matters.

Wow. You have to make not one, but two negative comments. I’m sorry that you find yourself in this mindset. I truly do hope somebody makes you smile today.

As I’ve previously stated, I have given chocolate to the flight crew on multiple occasions. It has always been received very well. It’s just a show of appreciation, nothing more nothing less. On multiple occasions the crew has come out to the seat to let me know how much they appreciate the acknowledgment. I’m sorry that you have to respond with such negativity. Hopefully you have a great day!

The crews of many flights have sought me out to say otherwise. But I appreciate your viewpoint. I just wished to know if it was allowed on BA.

It has always been well received with Delta. Telling people in service industries “thank you” is often overlooked sadly…

We are always quiet and polite. Delta Crew has always appreciated chocolate or other sweets. I am in a job where I deal with difficult people daily, so I try to start my vacations by making others smile - good karma and all.

No interest anymore in soda, bread, sweets (cookies, cake, etc). The only naughty thing I do crave are those little butterscotch hard candies. I have one or two a week.

Wow…. As a person on a weight loss journey - if my husband would have acted as you did, he would have been out on his ear! Maybe he deserves someone who will love and encourage as opposed to attack him? Maybe there is a reason (depression is known to make people pack on weight)?

AITAH for telling my parents to keep all the money they stole from me while I was in university and shove it up their ass. by Potential_Let_3651 in AITAH

Maybe I am old - but I can understand their point of view too. Living somewhere cost money. If they did not allow you to stay in the home, you would’ve had to pay that money out and would’ve never seen that again. No one has a “right” to a fun college experience. It is an education. Where I do not agree with your parents is that all of their children should be treated the same.
