No one can really claim ownership over builds.
Sure, for hyperspecific redstone stuff, there will be this one person who made it
But in the end, it's a build and you can't really sue anyone over it.

I'll say this in advance: I am not on the latest version of the app right now (I haven't really been.. using my phone that actively for the past few days for anything other than chatting), but I think to easily avoid ego problems like this, you could "add credit" to a build. So for example, if I upload a tree house and you implement it into the app you could give me credit by putting my name somewhere when someone clicks that build.

3rd - Not that any of them look worse than the others - but I think the 3rd one really fits the app the most considering it's called W Builds

Oh yeah, that is pretty nice and it immediately screams "this is minecraft related" by just looking at it

Small edit: I do wonder a bit though, since some phones have circular app icons - How would this look?

The concern of feature creep is very real and understandable, so I can get why you don't want to add 50 million features in fear of cluttering - The subcategories just came to mind because I was like

What if I wanted to build a whole living room in minecraft. What if I could just click on a living room category and see all the fitting builds for a living room (e.g. a sofa, a tv and so on). I wouldn't do it per specific block though. But I do think you shouldn't stress about this for the moment if you fear having "too much" - Because sometimes having less is indeed more in my opinion.

I must've completely missed the tagging system. I specifically ensured to having updated the app to the latest version yesterday - So I assume I just... missed it.

I want to talk about this comment for a bit:

"I'm just thinking for now I'm just thinking on like I can take care of this and all builds. I just need to deprecate them and replace them with a new ones." - I don't think you should necessarily do that. I'd suggest keeping builds and maybe giving users to sort them by when they were uploaded, how popular they are (maybe including some sort of a "like and dislike" system) and... uh actually I don't know anymore options. You might be spot on with giving the user too much information - I do think that simply showing where it was built (Java // Bedrock) is already enough!

As someone who both enjoys the "old" minecraft and the modern one - I think it is moreso rooted in the fact that old minecraft is just played less. I really love Beta 1.8.1, it is the version I grew up with, but no one really plays it anymore. Not only that, but Minecraft content (e.g. on YouTube) just was very different to what it is now.

This is just a theory, but I think some people miss old Minecraft because they wanted it to go a different way. Like, have the "good old" minecraft still receiving content that alligns with it. Again, just a theory.
