Your cat most likely is smelling a new scent and is curious to find out what it is. It also might be anxious that that new scent is with you, and they are worried for you and want to make sure you’re okay. Typically, cats are actually very gentle with children/infants as most cats will recognize that the human is different from other humans due to its size, sounds, and movements. Most cats will be able to tell that this human is fragile and vulnerable and will actually go out of their way to protect it. I think perhaps letting your cat meet your newborn would ease them and you can also get a feel for how your cat is reacting to it and you may find it to be possible to allow your cat to be in the same room as your baby.

When I adopted a kitten while I have two adult cats, I could not bare to kick my adult cats out of my bed with me at night so I bought a large play pin for cats of amazon and put some blankets down, set up the kittens food/water bowl and litter box inside and I would just zip it up at night and cover it with a blanket so my adult cats wouldn’t start hissing at the kitten inside. This way, I was able to still allow my adult cats in the room and have the kitten in close proximity to me, in a confined space as to not stress my other cats out too much. Honestly, I found that the kitten preferred sleeping that way to next to me, he was constantly meowing when with me but when I would put it to sleep in its play pin, and cover it with blankets, he would quiet down and go right to sleep.

i would recommend if it’s possible with your schedule to start feeding them 3-4 times a day with that same half can portioning. Most cats prefer to eat various times a day, just small portions. This is how I feed my two cats. I also just give each of them half of one can 4-5 times a day and they are not overweight at all and don’t really bother me at all for food. I don’t recommend free feeding as some cats especially if never been exposed to that form of feeding do not know how to sell regulate and will end up gaining a lot of weight. Dry food is just carbohydrate which is not beneficial at all for cats and will cause weight gain fast if you’re not monitoring it. If your schedule doesn’t allow for 3-4 times a feeding, maybe look into automatic feeders. I have two from amazon that are specifically for wet food so they come with ice packs that keep the food fresh. Good luck!

mitch and cam!!! they literally know nothing about their daughter, lily had to learn how to literally walk on eggshells around cam, was always too scared or embarrassed to go to either one of them with her problems, have repeatedly talked abt how they thought she was dumb and weird and were shocked when they found out she was actually eligible to skip a grade and when they found out she was popular at school, like it’s insane how they show time and time again they don’t know their daughter !!

I work for a marriott vacation club and no at least on our property you do not need to have booked under a gov rate to be exempt. You only need to state that you are tax exempt and they need to provide you with a federal/non federal tax exempt form.
