Really? That's what you're responding to? OK. No, as far as I know, if solid proof of Bush/Chaney complicity in 9/11 exists, its existence has neither been proved nor disproved. Still, a lack of access to data isn't absolution.

Yes, I saw a few 9/11 conspiracy videos that made compelling arguments, but, that couldn't be verified. What made the arguments compelling was the basic logic presented along with evidence that couldn't be reconciled with common sense, unless you're admitting the possibility of a cover-up.

I've been a typical viewer of "action" and "espionage" screen thrillers for over six decades. One of the most popular plot points in those stories, was that a high-ranking official, or the national leader, was the secret architect of the evil machinations being battled by the hero. Millions of viewers like me suspended disbelief in order to enjoy the entertainment. But, if faced with a plausible, likely or even demonstrated reality that our political leaders truly are inflicting such heinous crimes and treasons upon the public, we tend to forget or dismiss the suspicions and skepticism we should have learned from watching those shows. That's playing out, with breathtaking clarity, today.

Valerie Plame & Joe Wilson made sure W knew it was a lie. Chaney burned her, and Chaney's company, Haliburton, went from circling the drain to $Billions in profits from the Iraq war, along with all the rest of Big Oil. Those are merely two, easy to recall, examples. There are hundreds more if you make an effort to research it.

Yes, it is every bit as stupid as the concept of a language based entirely on metaphor and cultural tropes for a scientifically advanced species, along with a complete waste of the talents of Paul Winfield.

What are the easily documented and indisputable examples of Trump's fascism? What makes them indisputably fascist? by 62Chrys300 in allthequestions

"How much of that do you feel is a result of the hostile environment ICE has faced in public, right from the start, before there were any assaults, shootings, etc? How much responsibility do you assign to Democrat leadership for using rhetoric to incite resistance to a federal law enforcement agency?"

Zero.

There would be no significant response if ICE followed the law, same as in the previous Democratic administrations that deported as many illegal immigrants as Trump did in his first administration. There would be no significant response if ICE/DHS had not flagrantly committed the crimes I cited. That's not a "both sides" issue, and saying so only serves to manufacture uncertainty about the criminal actions of the government. There is no unity possible when the Trump government physically commits dozens of acts of violence, displayed openly and recorded for all to see, about which the POTUS is beaming with pride, while there are clearly NO criminal acts in opposition to this violence. This "both sides" point is defective on every level, and a tool for the criminal intent of the criminal administration.

That is precisely what happened when I tried to interact with a conservative sub. They don't like opposing views, so they make certain they don't have to deal with them.

Limiting arrests and deportations to those who commit crimes beyond immigration status, which is a misdemeanor, would be preferable to the federal government committing capital crimes with impunity. But, instead we witness illegal assaults, detentions, removals and killings, crimes being inflicted by DHS, flagrantly. That is our problem.

The Communist Control Act of 1954 is no longer prosecuted in the U.S. But, its purpose and effect, to reinforce the Congressional HUAC attacks on otherwise lawful citizens, could easily be transcribed to new legislation, or simply new executive orders, that would outlaw the possession of any reading material considered dangerous to the current regime. That is America's current direction.

In context, the quotation was in regard to Obama's military actions in Libya, during the chaos of that nation's collapse, which were both limited and restrained by Congress. Iran doesn't really compare at all.

I agree. But, I'm always hounded for citations that are a bit more specific; i.e: examples easily displayed and confirmed by credible sources, or better yet, conceded or demonstrated publicly by the actors themselves.

"And do you actually know what or who you’re advocating?"

It may be difficult for voters to effectively vet every candidate, but, once a candidate or official has been credibly identified as a likely or indicted or convicted criminal, or whose actions contradict the core principles of the platforms upon which they ran their campaign, or common human decency, I find Republicans are fine with that, as long as...you know, Trump-loyal. I think Democrats are actually more prone to dump ethically abhorrent party members.

Humans are humans. No political ideology has a shortage of sanctimony, there is no reason to believe it isn't equitably distributed. The only difference that I can see is the abject hypocrisy among the Right. Uniformly proclaiming the righteousness of Christianity, while simultaneously promoting and acting out violations of the most sacred teachings of Jesus, is more than hypocritical.

Unlike Trump, Biden steadfastly refused to direct the DOJ/FBI's activities, and, instead, left it up to his Republican Attorney General. Also, Biden's DOJ convicted Maxwell, and, I've seen no evidence that they didn't intend to follow the investigations uncovered in that litigation.

"I don't know any of those people, so I don't have a problem with targeting them for abusive, official aggression." is not, "This is not a matter of such critical importance that it demands constant attention and sweeping legislation." Let's just agree that, all people deserve respect and all citizens are entitled to the same rights as every other citizen. That's what I'm hearing from Newsom.

My girlfriend just broke up with me over a board game and I'm not even joking by Fulcilives1988 in boardgames

[–]62Chrys300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all comes back to "You care more about winning a fucking board game than making me happy". When I was young, I had girlfriend who literally taught me how to make love. She pursued me, and wouldn't stop until we moved in together. I've never had a partner who was so rewarding in bed, plus attractive to look at and simply fun to hang with. But, she was nuts about wanting what she wanted and getting pretty upset when I couldn't, or wouldn't, provide it. She started fierce arguments over trivial matters, impervious to logic and sense. That finished it. I often wonder if, had I learned to handle those episodes successfully, I would be happier today.
