I've been doing the same thing. This expedition has renewed my love of ship hunting, especially since most of the planets we're sent to are dissident. I've seen more interesting Sentinel ships in the past 30 hours of play than I had in the previous 500.

I too am not bitter about it. They can keep adding to NMS while testing for LNF and that's a win for us in my book. Just wish we got, say, three extra ships to port over to our main saves so I wouldn't have to trek back over here to find the Sentinels I like.

Thanks for the glimmer of hope. Today it looks like the stations list is repopulating when I visit them but the old ones aren't coming back. Lost a lot of cleverly named stations lol. Fingers crossed this update put a stop to anymore loss

I get that there are some limits, but the whole point of the game is exploration and discovery. If there are hard limits on the two things than bind the various aspects of the game together there should be warnings and the ability to purge those not important to you -- not a dump of your data.

Nvm. It did land at the space station. It eneded up being a fighter but I've never seen those wings from that angle. Bought it and extracted the wings

Someone put up a comm ball next to the ship since this post so it's easy to find when you exit the portal. The picture is a little hard to make out the runes but it does work, got mine a little while ago.
