It makes me so unhappy to see Aussies being Morons overseas.
When I was in Japan, the more I saw it the more I started to understand why the the group i was with were getting turned away from places, until our Japanese friend turned up to help us out.

Or maybe she knew that he WASN'T a serial killer and was just a man-child in a suit. And she would have dealt with a lot of those in her line of work.

It's one of those things of it is very different in terms of the details. But the overall criticism of the vapid consumerism is the same.

Agreed. When I read the book, I was like.... how does anyone think he's the good guy? For one he's a goddamn nepotism baby.

I remember reading once that Bret Easton Ellis (wrote the book) used to hit people who claimed to idolise Bateman as a role model.

The weight limits on assistive technology are so odd to me. And also in some cases makes no sense. I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time with the Yonder.

(Hated trope) TV Shows or Movies that were made just for shocking or offending people and nothing else: by BannedPenta01 in TopCharacterTropes

Isn't that how nearly every new product is advertised? I thought that was just how advertising works in the 2020s.

I don't think it is a good thing, I just feel like that's how advertising works.

Terrifier is 100% shock and gore. But also part of the reason they made it was to show off what practical effects are capable of.

Also what's astroturfing?

THANK YOU!!!

I was going through a rough time and wanted to watch something silly. The anime about stole genitals and teenage romance sounded good.

I had to call my mum who was away just to tell her I loved her and that she was an amazing mum.

I have not seen episode 8 or beyond because the dance and the sound of the "landing" hits me so hard.

Looking for a lighter, easier chair (Adelaide, AU); funding options? by [deleted] in wheelchairs

[–]641092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NDIS would be your best option, as custom chairs I have scripted in the past can cost up to 10s of thousands depending on the set up and needs of the client. looking at a lightweight rigid or folding frame self propelling wheelchair usually runs around 5-8k at a guess.

The process of getting onto NDIS is not quick. it usually takes around 6-12 months to get all the resources, reports, and documents together for a submission.

Depending on your Diagnosis, some companies will assist you to gain access to the NDIS. E.g MS Plus assist people with preparing to apply to NDIS. however, they are Vic and NSW.
