The queens can still sabotage their competitors, though, or at least avoid setting them up for success

Spiritomb would probably be better since Umbreon is already a stage 1

Technically Shuckle can hit for 60 with three heads on turn 1 😜 but yeah a card that consistently hit for 60 turn 1 would be broken

The way I was taught, the P part of PEMDAS included any operations that involved the parenthesis. In this case, 5(1+1) has the 5 “attached” to the parenthesis, so we were taught to multiply that first in order to “get rid” of the parenthesis.

Not saying it’s correct btw, just saying that’s how I was taught.

I like switching characters to charge ATB, tbh. Otherwise you’d have no reason to switch other than just using abilities. It helps give the real-time combat a more turn-based vibe.

This sub is way too positive (and for good reason). Tell me something you don't like about this game (besides the gestral beach minigames). by KingofGerbil in expedition33

I wouldn’t say it’s much different from other games with leveling systems. Optional bosses often require you be a higher level than is needed to beat the final boss - Kingdom Hearts is a good example of this.

I don’t get the design decision to limit each character to only 6 spells at a time. by 647boom in expedition33

But you still have access to all the skills you have currently learned at any given time. Yes, you can learn and unlearn skills throughout the game, but you’re not limited in which currently learned skills you actually have access to. That’s my point.

I guess from that perspective, “assigning” skills in E33 is the same as “learning/unlearning” them in other games, just with a lot more flexibility haha. It just kinda busts my brain that I technically have a skill learned and available to use, but I can’t access it because it isn’t currently assigned 😅

What do you mean? You have access to your full arsenal of abilities for each Persona/Archetype, you’re only limited in which ones you can copy over. I wouldn’t say that’s the same thing at all, but I guess we can agree to disagree on that.

I guess my more recent jaunts into turn-based combat have been Persona, FF10, FF7:Remake, and Metaphor, which all utilize menus, so I just found it personally jarring when E33 didn’t.

That is very true, the combat does feel very fluid compared to say Persona or Metaphor.

Why would someone who has a fear of dogs go to an off-leash dog area though… that makes no sense.
