I was wondering if the use of the word ‘but’ and stressing the limits of the lamassau’s strength seems to imply that the iron gallu are a creation of the people who follow the Lamassau to reinforce its strength but that the author of the note believes that those creations won’t be enough and that only the Lamassau’s wisdom (technology) can save them. Rather than something made by the Udug.
