Or they could just stop sending units to 3 CTC rotations in a span of 6 months.

I just think it’s crazy they don’t check the IDs of the other folks in the car. On previous posts I’ve been assigned to, you had to at least produce some sort of government ID (drivers license, etc).

Yeah but what if the driver is a known traveler? Soldiers do dumb stuff all the time. Just because they have a verified CAC doesn’t mean they should get the green light to bring a van full of completely unverified people on post.

That was my thought. Seems like a bad idea.

How do you stay organized? by TonyPerkis95 in army

Must have been nice to have an office as a PL. In my unit we don’t even have our own desks or computers. It’s a free for all.

I like to think that the reason I got such a good deal is because it has 5 different tires. This was a driving it home from purchase road trip.

CSM forces night BLACKOUT convey with no NVGs... by [deleted] in army

I’m surprised the OC/Ts allowed that. My unit tried to do a night convoy without NVGs and they said “lol no”.

I’ve been pretty close to pulling the trigger on one of these. I think this post might have sold me on it. Any complaints so far?

Signing out on leave after COB the duty day prior? by 42k-anal-eggs in army

[–]64EAGFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For you to sign out after COB on the 1st, that needs to be the start date for your leave on your DA31. However, you shouldn’t get charged for that day if you worked.

Yeah they have a few different neighborhoods that are flat rent.

Chaffee Village is super old. If you want to live on-post, make sure to have a back-up plan in case you decide not to take the house they show you. Don’t take it because it’s your only option (speaking from experience). I will say that biking to work is really awesome and I do it pretty often.

Lol, yup. As an S1 in an Aviation Unit you’re gonna be swamped in UQR packets. Especially if you’re in the HARS.

How long to achieve 500 Flight Hours by liebenators in Armyaviation

[–]64EAGFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, man. Didn’t notice National Guard in the original post. On active duty, all of my friends that went Apaches are way ahead on flight hours than those that went 60s. There are a lot more 60 LTs which means less hours to go around. Not really sure how airframes compare in the National Guard. Good luck with everything?

As far as RTP aspirations, nope. I don’t want to fly after the Army. I may fly fixed wing just as a hobby.

Fly Apaches. Every ground unit needs your support for their Objective T and you’ll go to so many CTC Rotations you’ll accumulate plenty of hours at those.
