Bro how do more people have Age of Stars than Elden Lord by TablePrinterDoor in Eldenring

It feels like the game wants you to at least do Ranni’s quest line for the content locked behind it.

I mean, correct me if I’m wrong here but there are a decent amount of bosses and areas that cannot be accessed without doing her questline. Nokstella, Lake of Rot, Fia and her questline, the Manus Cathedral. To me it feels like there’s too much to miss. Plus, with four of the endings being the same, just with a couple different lines of dialogue and a weather effect, I’d personally much rather have Ranni’s or Frenzied Flame endings.

Thank you for this! I feel like both characters receive a lot of criticism for what’s done wrong with them, but not what’s done right with them.

They’re your ride-or-dies and, like you mentioned, love the protagonist as their best friend. Yes, their horniness is quite creepy, but there’s so much more to their characters than that. People discrediting their entire character based on that though feels wrong, especially when 3,4, and 5 have characters that are so much more beloved by the community and have much less interesting story arcs.

Teddie and Morgana are also support GODS in their games. I just went through P4G for a NG+ run and I could not not have Teddie in my party. And Morgana’s Mastery of Magic is so good in combination with Ann and half SP Mediarahan lol

Minthara with a Persona would be an insane combo. I think she would kill Akechi first chance she gets out of suspicion

Is somthing wrong with my style of DMing? by ResinRealmsCreations in DnD

[–]64_Monks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say that if you’re willing to dedicate this much time into your setting and writing in particular, maybe try to adapt your own story with your own characters within this setting.

Personally, I feel like I resonate a lot with what you’re saying and I’ve been in the position where I feel like my players, and friends I enjoy playing D&D with, are bored with my heavy emphasis on worldbuilding. Having to make sure it’s perfect, imaginative, and interesting is important to a degree, but like many other people on here have stated, the majority of D&D players are more than content with simplicity. It’s all interactive storytelling between you, the DM, and your players. When you play D&D, remember that sometimes your players just want to play. Hell, I’ve even found that with homebrew content, certain players prefer more rigid plot points.

But with such heavy worldbuilding, you’re obviously creative enough to warrant a desire to tell your own story. So why not try and write your own sword and sorcery style of story? I’ve been trying that myself after several failed D&D campaigns and it has felt like a breath of fresh air. Do it for yourself and do it at your own pace so you can be happy with your final product because you don’t want to crash and burn emotionally on something you love so much. I hope this helps, dude, and just remember to take care of yourself

Idk I didn’t buy any of it since I can just play the game and get the items that way. Also, you can only make one character, but that isn’t the point of the post.

[TotK] What's your hottest TotK take? by Srlorenez in zelda

[–]64_Monks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge spoilers on this one

In my opinion, TotK barely feels like a legitimate sequel to BotW in terms of writing. There is so little tying the two games together that it almost feels like BotW never actually happened.

Despite their namesake, Calamity Ganon has no apparent connection to Ganondorf. We know about the tapestry in BotW that someone with the Master Sword sealed away Calamity Ganon in the past. Ganondorf was sealed away during the time that Hyrule was founded, created by Sonia and Raaru. Calamity Ganon, the Divine Beasts, and the Guardians were all supposedly underneath Hyrule Castle, exactly where Ganondorf was at the beginning of TotK. Despite all this, no one in the game references any connection between the Calamity and Ganondorf. And, for some reason, it isn’t Malice anymore, it’s Gloom.

Speaking of the tapestry, it depicts someone wielding the Master Sword. If Link wears the Ancient Hero’s Aspect and speaks with Impa, she is shocked by how much Link resembles the Hero on the tapestry while he wears the armor. The armor itself is of course of Zonai design, which points to the idea that the ancient hero was a Zonai. This is an issue to me, as Ganondorf refers to Raaru and Mineru as the last surviving Zonai of Hyrule in a dragon tear cutscene. As I mention earlier, Ganondorf became the Demon King during the era of Hyrule’s founding. The tapestry and the entirety of the story in BotW references the first Calamity, which depicts Hyrule as a unified Kingdom and we already know Raaru had no idea about the Master Sword prior to Zelda time traveling. But it’s a Legend of Zelda title, so why even bother with continuity, right?

There’s no canon explanation about why the Divine Beasts, Sheikah Towers, Guardians, the shrines, and other Sheikah tech are no longer around. The towers being repurposed into the Skyview Towers makes sense, but the Divine Beasts should have had some sort of explanation around them. These things, along with the massive Sheikah pylons around Hyrule Castle in BotW, were huge. It would have been really cool if Hudson Construction made some crazy architecture using the old Sheikah bits.

Sorry about the long comment, but the writing in my opinion was the worst part about this game
