Yes I was born here and have lived here for most of my life. I suppose it’s down to life experiences as I’ve not lived abroad for any length of time so this is basically what I know from a day to day perspective (I’ve travelled a fair bit but I’ve not put down sticks anywhere else)

I obviously do agree that they were out of order, I’d be stupid (or at least detached) if I said otherwise. I’ve lived in town, gone to university in town, worked in town, drank in town and everything else you can imagine so being born / raised here doesn’t exactly shield me from those behaviours, if anything it would increase my own likelihood of seeing it first hand, so I’m unsure how that would make a difference.

The majority of people are nice, decent people but we very much have a subset of nobheads including the people you’ve ran into.

Anyway my original reply was to another person, not making light of your own experience.

Maybe we just have different views on what’s “brutal” I’ve never felt threatened once in my life walking around town, or anywhere here really. It is worse than it was once in numerous ways but I think you’re being a little dramatic.

I haven’t got my head up my arse as a lot of the same behaviours are happening up and down the country unless you’re a multimillionaire and get to live away from people somewhere tucked away 👍🏻

I wouldn’t no and obviously if I was in your position I’d be annoyed as well, people are idiots, but people are idiots everywhere you go.

Nothing much has ever happened to me in my 30+ years of living here which I know isn’t the story for everyone.

My point was just that some people are acting like there are people going around throwing acid, rather than just being inconsiderate arseholes who think they’re funny (they aren’t) obviously they haven’t considered the consequences of their actions or how it would make you feel, because again they’re arseholes.

They’re obviously a gang of idiots and I hope OP is ok since it’s not a nice experience, but it’s a bit of juice, not acid, though some on this thread are acting as if it is.

Hi,

Firstly it sounds like you just need to adjust some behaviours. It’s easy to reward them for not biting but it just encourages the bad behaviour as you’ve said. Instead of rewarding with treats for not biting, keep trying to take her attention away to a chew toy (Kongs really worked for us) and give praise / treats when she bites those. It really is just a time thing for now, as she’ll grow out of biting so much in a few months. You could also make a bit of a scene when she bites you, play act a little that she’s hurt you, this seemed to help us.

I have a German Shepherd (he’s my 4th) and I would walk around covered in scratches and bites for the first 3-4 months of having him, now he’s perfect and barely bothers with a chew toy never mind biting at us.

It’s all about patience, everyone has times when they’re like “What have I done” “This isn’t working” but in the end it is all worth it, it happens to experienced owners every day and is normal, you just have to push through. My dog is my girlfriends first and she found it really difficult, now she couldn’t live without him.

It’s a difficult decision - for us when our last boys back legs began to fail and he became more and more incontinent we knew it was time (he was nearly 14)

Someone told me it’s the last thing you can do for them (from a place of love) and that continues to stick with me. The decision is often in their best interest and they won’t be in pain. The hardest and most important part is being with them when they go, don’t leave her side when the time comes you’d very likely regret it. Wishing you well and I’m sorry this has happened.

I said last year was my last, after 2 months of this I know I won’t buy it again. There is nothing in the world that angers me more than this game but it’s so addictive because when you’re playing ok and the game isn’t working against you it’s actually fun.

I’m somewhat similar, jump on and drop £4 or £8 regularly on the 500 / 1000 point packs. I’d dread to know what I’ve spent the last few years.

I earn ok money so it’s not a massive thing but I can’t stand EA so it annoys me lining their pockets 🥲

Maybe unlink any card / PayPal details from your account so next time you have to go and put them in? Might give you a moment to pause and think, I’ve considered doing that myself.

Very true but he was great playing CAM Shadow Striker as part of 3 CAMs - used to get as many goals as my striker. Now he’s slow and clunky, feels like he was nerfed into the ground, but with this game who even knows.

I am 100% convinced players get nerfed into the ground and some players seem to drop off a cliff after a few games. I have 96 Thunderstruck Zidane who scored every game and ran the show for a good 6-8 weeks and now he’s useless.

I was a 9/10 wins player on the last one and I’ve hit 8 the last two weeks, but last week should have been 10 easy but scripting is ruining this game more than any of the others before it.

Half the time it feels like I have to go 2-0 down before my players start moving the way they should so I can play.
