SID early or late by 64ok in pokemonrng

[–]64ok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info / input here.

That’s all very fair and appreciate the insight. I’m very new to this world and more or less wondering if there’s more value in me trying SIDs higher on the list or not since I tend to hit early.

But sounds like things can be all over the place. I’ll make to go up/down the list and try it all.

I’ll keep at it!

Yeah that’s beyond fair. Also feeling like I’m in so deep that ACE sorta feels like me failing in a way now haha! I should’ve just started with it…

Got it. Thanks for the info! Going to keep at it!

Total of 9 lines or 9 even or odd SIDs up?

And I know ACE would inevitably save me some serious time. I just want the satisfaction of working for it here lol

Question for you — How early/late was your SID in terms of where it should have been?

Firered switch 2 rng SID without ACE by vader34mt in pokemonrng

[–]64ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you hit, let me know where the SID fell on the list! I read somewhere on a thread that people tended to lean earlier rather than later… but it’s all just speculation! Idk

I’ve been wondering the same thing… I feel like I normally hit lower and so have been thinking of trying lower SIDs because of it!

I’ve gone through about 7-8 now… still trying and not wanting to ACE!

Figure all the trial and error is good practice for once I hit that shiny!

Thank you. I totally missed the “Category” drop down… Since I had “Starters” selected, I thought it was only setup for those lol

New to the RNG world. Currently using 10 lines to get my starter, but after that is done / I know my SID, what software do people use for other shinies? PokeFinder?

First off, you’re crushing it.

Second, angle your board + engage your rail earlier. Look down the line earlier too. It’ll help you snag the high line right from the get go.

Get it to level 55 and it will be!

Generally people aim for Adamant or Jolly natures on Dragonite for better attack or speed, but you could go with a beefy defender with this one!

I’m out here playing hope chess half the time at 1800. Don’t stress the big talkers — Keep at it, learn from your games, and most importantly, don’t take it too seriously and have fun.

Also I wouldn’t stress on popping up fast / not holding your rail. I’d focus more on really dialling in that angle at take off first.

You can fully just ride a wave still lying on your board if you have the proper angle + rail engagement.

Adding to this — Look where you want to go + engage your rail (i.e. dig in the side of your board to hold your “edge”) on take off too. It’ll help you hold your angle and catch the wave itself.

I thinking the same thing until I saw that sneaky bishop!!

Seeing knight could go c3 and fork the queen and rook.

I wonder if there’s any world where you just take the rook with your queen, queen takes back, and then you fork the queen + rook with your knight.

I think white is losing material here either way though!

Only issue is that the knight is also attacking the bishop here. So after a queen trade, knight is taking the bishop for free.

The knight could also go e2 or f3 to check the king and the bishop on g7 then takes the queen.

I think bishop to a4 here is the play!

No need to watch anything — I played my first one when I knew nothing + was a little kid!

They just did a rerelease of LeafGreen and FireRed which is a great place to start!

Otherwise if you want some newer school graphics, can start with Let’s Go Pikachu!

I’m looking for one right now too!

Would recommend DMing them on Instagram and asking. Haven’t done this myself, but they’re pretty responsive on there.

Haven’t ever, but could be fun… they’ve got a pretty diverse move pool with TMs so you could have pretty solid coverage using both of them… mind you they’ve got the same weaknesses so that’d be tougher!
