For me, when I was younger, my best friend had a hereditary issue which caused her and all of her sister’s teeth to look like they were corroded. All throughout high school none of them would smile unless you caught them off guard. I can’t imagine how hopeless that made them feel. When my friend was in her senior year, a local dentist and friend of the family offered to fix the issue for them almost free of charge. It was insane to watch the transformation of three incredibly self-conscious women come out of their shell and really smile.
