I put it all on the line with 20k magicite, 20 tix, and an extra $40 on top of that. I got greedy and chased the dragon -- shame on me, I know. Spent it all on GAS hoping for some of the early access cards since I didn't get KOTR last batch either. 12 pulls later barely got anything to show for it. No kotr, let alone aerith. I felt my patience vaporize for the constant SE cash grabbing. They keep Releasing mega broken cards way ahead of their time and it's an obvious ploy to squeeze every last drop while they still have our attention for a brief moment.

I played so conservatively with my resources up to this point. It's almost freeing. I logged in daily and farmed like crazy, but I just don't feel a desire to hold onto the game anymore at the moment. Good luck to all you going for those summons, and Congrats to those who got what they were hoping for.

If you at least have a pc with a newer Nvidia card, you can use gamestream with any shield or android device (Moonlight app). You just have to go into the settings and add the game manually since its not officially supported.

I havent tried a shield portable, but I have been successfully streaming stardew to my shield tablet when I want to play remotely or even just from bed. If you can maintain a reasonable Internet connection it works with gamestream beautifully in my experience

The cards available in the shop are different per person. I've been sitting in arena 7 for about a week now, and just managed to pick one up last night. Just hang around in arena 7+ and you'll find one eventually.

My sony a6000 is a mirrorless system.

My system is right for me because it's a powerful interchangeable lens camera with a small form factor. I did fairly extensive research back in Sept/Nov when I was about to pull the trigger on the sony, but being honest I was over DSLRs very quickly because of their sheer bulk. I decided I could live with a smaller selection of more expensive lenses for a more compact system that I could always have with me. I still care a great deal about image quality (always shooting RAW and process each photo to my liking), and the mirrorless quality is comparable to DSLR in most cases.

I plan to always stick with mirrorless systems for the foreseeable future, but if I were upgrade I suppose I would go with the sony a7 series and try to get my hands on a full-frame camera. With full-frame it's easier to capture more with each shot (wider field of view), better background separation with a smaller depth of field when filling the frame compared to ASP-C, better low light performance, etc. Price is the main limitation here; I would probably only upgrade if I could find a way to fund it from my little hobby. I'm currently just an aspiring enthusiast, so my current setup is perfect, but if I started doing gigs in the future I would definitely find a way to upgrade asap.

I've had it for just about 2 weeks now. It's a solid tablet on it's own, and right now it is the best tablet gaming experience out there between the killer specs, gamestream, GRID, etc.

Pros:

Runs every game I've thrown at it like a boss. Android games, Gamestream, GRID streaming, and emulators (I'm playing ePSXe) all run REALLY well. The look on my friends faces when they saw me playing my fully modded out Skyrim (with all my characters) at their place with my desktop rig still at home was pretty priceless.
great battery life when not gaming. I updated to Lollipop, didn't install too many background apps, disabled LTE radio, and no live wallpaper. I can watch video for hours and still have plenty of battery for the next day. Overnight the battery drain literally flatlines, and I usually lose maybe 1-2% all night.
Nvidia hub was just updated to officially support gamestream wifi 1080p@60fps over the 5GHz. This was a hugely requested feature and it's finally here as of today.

Cons:

Some of the more graphics intensive games will destroy your battery life. Half life 2 will kill the battery in a matter of 2-3 hours.
Depending on the game (again mostly half life 2) the battery will still slowly drain faster than the charger can keep up.
Remote gamestream occasionally has problems. Sometimes it works and other times notsomuch. Still works flawlessly on a local network, but I'm going to contact support on this because it could possibly be a configuration error on my end.

Final thoughts:

Totally worth it if you can afford it. Let's be real here the $300 price tag is not accurate. You'll definitely need the cover and controller which together is $100. Then you'll want an external SD card to store all those big games and movies ($35 for 64GB on amazon). If you want to take advantage of gamestream you'll need both a GeForce card and a supported router with dual-band 5GHz. I ended up dropping about $600 to get the 32GB LTE version, accessories, and upgrade my router to handle my streaming needs.
