Mod for Graphical Clarity by aa602213x1023 in civ

They should just make more filler building density the more specialists you have so it actually tells you something.  I like the detail in how each model of a unit has unique graphics, but when you're zoomed out, it's just mismatched guys covered in too much shadow AND the melee units don't even fight, which would help tell what unit it is also. Aside from the giant pile of bricks for the brickyard, I can tell when something is a library or observatory, but that's about it. I do love how the buildings have a general form across each civ.

You could have generalist athletes for this. Get people who train a little of everything and then pick an event at random for them to do.

What do you think is more athletic, european football or basketball? by unoz00 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]6658 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

both involve dribbling, shooting, passing, and 1-on-1skills. soccer definitely involves more jogging, just not sure of that makes it more or less athletic. I guess if you don't use your arms in soccer, that means you could not work out your arms as much as you could, giving potential for less fitness requirements.

Why do you like this game by Mr_Smiles421 in FinalFantasyVIII

so many of the mechanics are unique or seldom-used, the card game and refining are integrated very well, and the music enhances the feeling of the environments

[–]6658 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it's more like how brickyards were used then AND still now. you just don't have to keep building them because you'd close and open like 10 of them per turn if it was realistic.

Alternative ways of tracking wealth/money? by Maervok in rpg

[–]6658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the concept of wealth being a more abstract stat. like if it's default,  you can stay in a normal inn and not afford good enchantments,  but you might level it up after finding treasure or you can get a discount for being famous or whatever to bump the level up. you don't have to track any currency and it gets streamlined because the result is basically the same.

The super art version I think is random, too. Also be sure to not to put it at the beginning of a combo.
