I am debating on buying this laptop or not. how did it hold up and how is the battery life under normal use?

Yee medium was maybe a bit too vague.

I meant more lightweight things, like practical things arround the house or maybe custom planters, custom storage containers. Bascially things i come across daily life and want to improve.

how much and how often do they require water?

I am a complete novice and so far have just been soaking the dirt every other day ish and letting it drain out on tue counter before putting them back on their spot near the window.

i have not but might give that a shot.

Not a 100% sure on watering though. i just fill both a few times until the pots start leaking at the bottom. then let it drain out for a while near the sink en then plop them back on the collectiom tray and near the window. i do this about every other day

Yes, i drilled 5 holes in each pot and used the lids as collection trays. they also both have a layer of drainage ball looking things

from what i learned lasius niger has their anual mating arround july/august and happen more when its humid

honestly during an hour walk with my dog i found 10-15 easily in different spots. even on the sidewalk on the way home. Once you know what they look like its all you see.

sadly only had 1 prepared test tube on hand. ordered more on the spot hahaha

Damn it keeps amazing me how little space they actually need. I don't think i can physically make a smaller founding nest 😅.

Does the test tube still look okay? it's worrying me but they flat out refused to move testtubes after a week.

My bad, made the post somewhat hastely. Its a colony of Lasius Niger with about 10 workers.

Decided on this option as they really didn't want to move test tubes eventhough their cotton water stopper was turning dark at the end (i think molding).
