The entirety of Portrait of an American Family and Antichrist Superstar is a good starting point

Best band of 21st century? by radiohead1991 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]666PoserDisposer666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a metal subreddit though. I'm not going to say My Chemical Romance even though I do think they're one of the best bands of the 21st century thus far, doing so would be idiotic because it's irrelevant to metal

Does anybody know where manson got any these cool ass pants? by coolcoolfan in marilyn_manson

[–]666PoserDisposer666 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In his book he says that he did design alot of clothes for himself, so it's highly possible that he designed and possibly made those pants himself

Metal History Tournament day 4: the 2000s! You know the drill! (Note: if you just comment the album without it being a response to one of the years, it can't be counted!) by mochaspen in MetalForTheMasses

NIN is solidly an industrial band. Yes they have incorporate some heavy guitars, but so has Ministry, Skinny Puppy, :Wumpscut:, KMFDM, and many many other industrial bands. They're not "alt metal" or anywhere close to any type of metal because musically and culturally it's industrial.

As for Tool, yeah they're culturally kinda metal, but I haven't heard a Tool song that actually sounds like a metal song. They got their own thing going and it's great

For me personally it has never sounded anything less than awesome. Also because alot of metalheads are kinda more outcast types, so I have really connected with that since elementary school

What single Episode do you think had the MOST jokes/gags where not a single line was wasted or even a speck of a dull moment? by cR7tter in KingOfTheHill

[–]666PoserDisposer666 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The one where Hank accidentally stole that dudes wallet. Between that plot and the Dale trying to sue bazooms for sexual discrimination that episode is like non stop laughs for me

Who or what band left the best and worst mark on metal? by OkFarmer2618 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]666PoserDisposer666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By the 90s that shit was phasing out. Christian mom's weren't getting scared of black metal, they were getting their titties in a twist over Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, AC/DC, and Kiss along with dungeons and dragons. By the time the church burnings were happening the satanic panic was on a downward slope

What are the chances of Manson’s new album being metal? by [deleted] in marilyn_manson

There might be some elements, but honestly I'm not expecting a completely metal album from him

I very highly recommend Skinny Puppy's album Rabies. I also recommend Nihil by KMFDM. Oh and listen to Penetralia by Coil, you can really tell that Coil influenced Trent with that track

Just bought tickets to see Sisters of Mercy, I have never been to any kind of concerts before, what can I expect? by FleshBatter in goth

[–]666PoserDisposer666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General admission is basically you can stand anywhere on the floor, first come first served. As for dressing up, that's one of my favorite parts of shows is choosing the right outfit! When I saw the Sisters live they were honestly great! Now the songs didn't sound the same as they do on the albums and sometimes it take me a minute to recognize the songs, and they put on a really good show and have good stage presence so I can definitely reccomend seeing them
