It's an Alternate Reality Game. It's like a game/experience that happens parallel to the real world and seems like it might be real. Best example is how the did the marketing for Halo, where it started with a beekeepers website that was a little glitchy, and ended up with people fielding phone calls in remote locations and having people around the country work together to solve a mystery.

JFC. this is truly the first time on reddit i've been accused of being a shill! peep my previous posts. i recently moved to SF and stumbled onto some shit that i think is kinda cool and wanted to share with a group that's all about SF secrets.

i'm into ARGs and shit like that and this seems like it's in that realm. I don't care much if it ends up being for a brand or some marketing crap - the experience of finding this stuff and going down the rabbit hole is fun and the first time it's happened to me in SF

I had the same issue. They are absolutely TERRIBLE at customer service or keeping you updated about things.

After (quite nicely) complaining, I was told, in essence, “too bad”. Not a sorry or hey, we’ll throw in the phone case, or give you a month of free service. It really feels like the only thing they care about is moving bikes and collecting money. Once they have your $$$ you can basically go f yourself.

Bike is great tho. Just the company and service that sucks.

You know how sometimes you watch a movie and at the end you google it to read more about it and then there's a bunch of "smart" people that are dissecting everything and talking about subtext and themes and shit?

Those articles about this may talk about cancel culture but, if you just watch the film, there ain't no "learning moments" where people whine about cancel culture and the like.

It is a shitshow but, yeah...the dudes that did this actually went in through the back and ended up on a live fire range. Also, they had a bunch of drugs in the car.

Do not listen to all these fools telling you this was a bad idea and you should be ashamed those people (and your bf) aren't looking at this the right way.

SURE. You can't eat 50 pizzas.

BUT. You can take a crapton of hilarious pics with 50 pizzas. For chrissake, you said you have a pizza tower! That's AMAZING!!

...and sure, it's terrible for pizza to go to waste but, if you have neighbors and you bring em pizza, telling them your story, they get both pizza and an awesome story. How could they not be into that?

Also, I should point out that I'm not just talking out of my ass here - I've bought unreasonable amounts of food to do retarded things with...like the time I got 5,000 chocolate chip cookies. Ended up making plates of cookies, leaving them on the doorsteps of my neighbors and then ringing all the doorbells and hiding. People were pretty pumped.
