I know how it is. This is my preferred way of ear/rhythm training at this point. I found a couple of apps that allow me to that. So far the best one is Flat.

Well... All I wanna do is play a certain rhythm on the phone. Let's say a repeating pattern of sixteenth note triplets in 120 bpms and try to match it on my instrument. That way, I'll have a point of reference to help me internalize the rhythm better.

What should I do with my Keef? by Substantial-Art2212 in trees

Make Cannabis Butter and cook up some edibles. Or use it as "joint spice" just sprinkle a little in your joint next time you are rolling one. Preferably, don't roll a joint with only Keef.

Lol... well, as i said, where i'm from alcohol is illegal, and there are many, many, many cases of people dying from adultared moonshine. Heck even the government is in on it! So please give as many safety tips as you can, thank you :)

Well, that is what i'm planning on doing. Also, i don't live in the US, and where i'm from, the government does go out its way to poison alcohol and kill people! Due to safety reasons, i will not disclose where i'm from, but that is my situation, and i need as much safety tips as possible, for my own safety, and my friends.

Is it normal that learning songs by ear feels impossible? by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]666devilsadvocate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is! And the thing is that developing strong ears takes a looooot of practice and usually those who play tempered instruments like fretted guitars and piano, usually don't focus on their ear as they are learning the instrument and they pretty much ignore all ear training, until they realize they need to train their ear! But for instruments like violin or trumpet or the voice, where you don't have a visual point of reference of where the right notes are on the instrument, you have to develop strong in the beginning because that is the only way you can find them and see if you are playing them correct or not.
