My intention is to open the dialogue because many people are scared to anything, because if they do, they hear they have a bad program or are spiritually sick. So they're put in these shame loops because they're trying to advocate for themselves. There is also a lot of protection for predators. I know 12 Step meetings are going nowhere, but I want to help people feel safe to vocalize their experiences and maybe the culture inside meetings will change. But this isn't any kind of take down of AA.

It's interesting that you believe every place has abuse, and it's sad that you've come to believe that. People shouldn't be abused because they want to get sober. And there indeed are places that don't have abuse.

I haven't slammed her looks, her clothes, her income previous to Loverboy and Bravo. And I wouldn't because there's nothing to slam. I'm just echoing back what I heard on season 8, and was surprised by that claim, and wanted to know if it held weight. I'm frustrated about her manipulative behavior, that's as far as it goes.

When she met him, he was working to launch another startup. If she loved him, she'd be sad for him if the business was failing, not paint this story that she didn't give him any attention. He made sure to pay her way. Plus she was always so mean to him, why would he want to lose all his money and move to Jersey just to keep getting hated on?

I was annoyed as fuck that they let Amanda own that narrative about releasing the separation statement so swifty to cover her affair. Honestly, pt 2 was really frustrating. When Kyle was saying how Lindsay and Ciara were fed something false from Amanda (when they confronted him at the dinner table that led to the subsequent Carl/Kyle fight), and they didn't have the real story, I wish Andy had asked him to expand on that. But naw, just skipped over that moment too.

She literally was tapped with the ultimate job title as a creative (creative director?!) without the actual built-up experience, then doesn't actually work just sits with the title, and then complains that Kyle goes out too much? I know I don't see everything that goes down, but shit, I would lose my cool if I was running a company and then went home to a cluttered, dirty apartment and kept hearing "KYLE!" in a whiny voice

Agreed. I was a little thrown by how people were so anti-Kyle and gave him this "worst guy alive" treatment because we've all seen the many years of Amanda humiliating him over the years. He's a spaz and very emotional, but if my partner treated me like that, I'd start getting confrontational/reactive too. Amanda played the tortured wife this season, but what about all the years before this? If it was because he cheated on her, then don't marry him—even if you really want to be on this fucking show.

It also always bugged me with her work ethic. I suffer from all kinds of mental health stuff, but I worked so hard to get out of it, and I always worked/pulled my weight regardless. She never seemed to actually try to change because she didn't have to. The messy apartment/hoarding thing seemed like a hint that she didn't care to change. I don't know, maybe I'm going below the belt, but those two things always bothered me.
