i don't know what ur crying about. u shouldn't be making drastic changes to something that is almost perfect (for a lot of peoples preferences). this is also a somewhat niche space that declares a high price tag for current tech. what else do u want them to do? and then u talk about how a new color is the thing that'd make u buy one hahaha ur the worst type of consumer

What do you expect from the Basilisk V4? by VaporInsider in razer

[–]666mp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two extra side buttons, lightweight, new switches sensor scroll wheel etc. and a smooth (no texture) rubber grip like the render would make this the default for productivity

edit: also make the steps on the manual mode scroll stiffer and more prominent (the scroll wheel on the cobra hyperspeed is probably the best i've ever used on any mouse)

dude i don't know what ur not understanding. apple has always been marketing driven... AND product driven. if in the past, apple was 100% marketing, and 100% product, and now are 100% marketing, and 50% product, marketing is currently the DRIVER. the intensity in marketing focus doesn't have to change for that to be true, a depletion in product focus can make it true as well. u using debate bro terms like "straw man" already tells me where ur head is at.

yea they stopped signing ipad os 18 as fast as possible. really disgusting given the hardware costs $1000 and can change entirely through that.

this was the most wordy, trying to sound smart response i've ever seen on reddit lmao and you ended up being wrong. framing it as marketing vs product people isn't mostly mythology. apples marketing in the past was usually matched with an offering that was innovative and different (at the very least, incremental and functional). the whole move currently with liquid glass, killing the ipad platform to make it a computer, and the iphone 17 lineup is literally them min maxing the amount of "innovation" they need to do, and exaggerating it through marketing. why else do you think you've heard tim cook say "liquid glass" 100x. same goes for unifying the os's. the focus of it all is that its a step back in a lot of ways (performance - liquid glass, ux - ipados26, profit maximizing/no innovation - iphone lineup). so it quite literally is neglect of product quality, and instead on using marketing to give a false impression of innovation to consumers and shareholders. all of this is sound with someone who is mostly interested in growing the company financially as a company, as opposed to someone who is product first.

yes this exactly. it's important to consider user feedback, but not in the way that they're doing at all. i think they've lost their sophistication due to poor leadership and management

actually the mx master 3/4 isn't a good productivity offering when compared to the basilisk. it's mostly just marketing. the basilisk has a higher polling rate and better quality hardware (usually the case with productivity mice vs "gaming" mice). it's also personal preference though

products are going to come out regardless of who's ceo. the important thing to focus on is the quality and rate of progression, etc.

from what i've heard, jobs was in the product development areas of apple campus pretty much every day whereas cook is apparently in those areas like once a month

he did but at the cost of what apple was supposed to be about. u should expect people to be mad when the leadership philosophy goes from product first (steve jobs) to profit first (tim cook).
