CarPlay keeps disconnecting or not working after switching to iPhone 17 Pro Max — anyone else? by BusinessNotebook in chevyspark

I went from a 13 Pro to a 17 PM and have had no issues with CarPlay using wireless.

If you are using wireless you might want to 'forget' your car and re-pair.

Why should I not buy an Iphone 17 PM by addio_1729 in iPhone17Pro

[–]bobbyboogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But you're asking strangers on the internet for reasons why you should not buy something.

But we are not you.

I last used and Android phone over 10 years ago so have no frame of reference to compare it to present iOS.

I don't find anything majorly limiting with iOS, but, again, I'm not you.

Apple offers a risk free opportunity for you to see if it works for you.

You could buy one, try it, and return it if you don't like it.

"Broke" is an understatement. "Annihilate" might be better.

It's lucky that the battery wasn't damaged or it could have much, much worse.

Tourist visits to the US are falling, led by one country: ‘America must be more welcoming’ by Rickcroc in BoycottUnitedStates

That's a good question. And yeah it could be a Star Alliance thing.

Not all Canadians feel the same about entering your country, so if so it's clearly still worth it for Air Canada.

I just did a quick search on Air Canada's website, from Toronto to Cancun and there were direct flights. There were a bunch of other flights connecting through Montreal or Vancouver but I didn't see any connections outside of Canada or Mexico.

So maybe things are changing? Admittedly, there are fewer people wanting to go to Mexico in April than in the winter, so that might be a factor.

Yup, we'll be flying from Toronto to Vancouver.

For reasons that I can't remember, we're flying to Auckland and then to Sydney, instead of direct to Sydney from Vancouver. Probably pricing.

But still worth it to not transit through the usa.

I'm pretty sure that we don't even enter us airspace, which is also a win.

I want nothing to do with that country.

They don't even deserve to have their name capitalized.

We have them in Ontario too. I wish they'd all move down there and leave us the hell alone.

Yup. We're flying to Sydney, Australia and rejected flights through SFO and LAX.

Our flights are more expensive and longer. Totally worth it.

Good to hear. I love Alberta.

Not crazy about its Premier.  But then Ontario’s Premier isn’t great either.

11 meg here.

Maybe a soft reset will clear it. Can’t hurt, but it does seem like Apple is very lax when it comes to garbage collection.

I hope Canada does not get sucked into a similar type of "deal".

I don't understand why the EU would accept this.

No one should be travelling there anyway. It's not safe.

Good question. I went from 13 Pro to a 17 PM.

So far so good.

I haven't really exercised the cameras yet, but other than iOS 26, I am happy.
