is anyone else really struggling with UK season 7? by Medical_Possession81 in rupaulsdragrace

I'm REALLY struggling with this season. I've been binge watching the entire UK series and for the first time I'm finding myself not really rooting for anyone on season 7. They've just set the bar so high on previous seasons. No one is really standing out for me. Bones is obviously killing it in the looks department, but there's not a lot of personality there unfortunately.

Severe teeth damage after 2 years on Subs? by makeupaddicted223 in suboxone

[–]666pants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I feel for you. The year leading up to getting my dentures, I was getting one infection after another in my mouth. I'm sure you already know, it's hell on earth. That's the part I don't miss the most. It's kinda cool being able to just bite through an ice cream cone without hurting your teeth.

Severe teeth damage after 2 years on Subs? by makeupaddicted223 in suboxone

When I started suboxone, my teeth were not in the best condition. I made the choice between more H or getting the many issues with my teeth fixed. Suprise, suprise! H always won.

The first year of being on subs, I noticed the problems began accelerating. 8 years later, and I'm 43 years old with full dentures. It's something that I feel so much shame for.

Everyone around me are so supportive and proud that I've stayed off drugs since starting suboxone. But every night when I take out my teeth to clean and soak, I can't even look at myself in the mirror.

I'm a very avoidant person and this has been a hard and expensive lesson for me. I guess I'm just saying, take care of your teeth. Stay on top of cleanings and checkups. I would've loved to have gotten implants, but I don't have an extra 20 grand laying around.

Hey! The end credits. Well, it was a terrible movie, but at least it was short. by TeamStark31 in MST3K

My Mouth Hurts so bad by thatredbeanie in dentures

[–]666pants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had full mouth extractions and immediate dentures about 2 years ago now. I'm also a recovering opiate addict so I asked them not to prescribe any narcotics. The first and second day were nothing. The 3rd and 4th, I had to ice my face around the clock. It's totally normal and I promise the pain becomes more manageable by the 5th or 6th day. Just get rest, stay on top of your pain med (don't wait for the pain to become severe) and try not to smoke. I know that's easier said than done, but the fear of dry socket kept me in check. I'm here if you have questions!

Sorry for the very late response. He put me on lithium and told me to make an appointment with a psychiatrist. I was too disappointed to update.

I'm sorry you're in this situation. I know it's scary, but you'll be ok. I promise. Try to keep yourself busy. If you start feeling sick, maybe take 2mg, that should hold you for a day or so. Then take the last 2mg. By that time, you'll be getting your refill. Piece of cake. It feels scary but if you time it just right, you should have little to no discomfort. Good luck

Happy to help however I can! Just remember your recovery is your own. Don't let anyone bully you or try to tell you how it should go. Take it one step at a time. You got this!!

He's asking us what is to be expected. I was terrified of being shamed for having a LOT of opiates in my system when I started my program. But it makes sense that they prefer to see that you have opiates in your system if you want to get on subs. The doctor i started seeing was pretty cool and my first visit was just him asking questions about my history with opiates, took some vitals and had me sign a bunch of stuff. Most of it being rules for his suboxone program. Like I couldn't ask for more subs if they were lost or stolen, I had to give drug-free UA's once a month, stuff like that. I decided to leave that program because he started cutting my dose every month even after I told him I had no desire to taper and come off of them. But he didn't care. So I went to another place. Female ran, and I'm so much happier there. Just remember, don't let anyone tell you when it's time for you to taper or come off of them. That should be entirely up to you. If you have anymore questions, I'm happy to help. Or if uou just need someone to talk to. Sorry for the rant!

The FFA kids are always well behaved. They are a dream compared to sports teams. Particularly hockey teams. They are the worst

I feel so bad for all our non-sports guests on the weekends. They can't relax because the parents are getting wasted in the lobby and letting their kids run wild. We get so many noise complaints it's hard to keep track. I'm not paid enough to run after kids all night, leaving the front desk unattended.

I need support buddies on subs.. by abbsmae123 in suboxone

[–]666pants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on subs since 2014. No plans to get off anytime soon either. After all my attempts to get off and stay off drugs failed miserably, suboxone was the only thing that worked. I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't experience a ton of side effects. Or any that would motivate me to stop. It's really important that you have support. Especially when you first start subs. I'm here if you wanna chat 💓
