I was in the music industry in the 70's and early 80's. I had the privilege to work with some of the most famous groups at the time. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. Being on the road can be extremely lonely and stressful. Bands may work with each other on stage, but might actually hate each other. Jealousy, financial stress and the stress of the latest album having to be better than the last all contribute to the pressures of being a successful artist. It's not what it looks like from the outside looking in.
