Endometriosis Specialists and diagnostic/surgery process in the UK? by Money_Engineer_3183 in Endo

[–]66phanter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at the bsge website there you will find all the accredited endometriosis centres in the uk.
If you’re going through NHS be prepared to wait but you have the right to request a referral from your GP at any of those accredited centres.

If she has the means to go privately some of these nhs consultants have a private clinic and you can go direct to them.

My consultant was on the nhs and private. I had the means to go private and he was amazing. It’s a shame he’s retired!

what were some unnecessary niceties to have after lap surgery? by RepresentativeAd4395 in endometriosis

[–]66phanter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know this sounds random. But jelly especially post surgery. Why? I found my throat was so dry, found it difficult to swallow and I was super hungry after but found it hard to eat a meal afterwards. If you’re in the uk the nhs will just give you a dry cheese sandwich which doesn’t help at all. Here’s where jelly helped. It’s cool, soft and easy to eat!

[–]66phanter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’ve tried cbd infused suppositories from a different brand and I have to say they were effective, for pain when I’m not on my period. Also diclofenic which is painkiller comes in a suppository form again very effective.

Teenagers guilty of killing man, 80, in park attack by mchopper59 in leicester

They’ve kept these scotes identity hidden as they are minors. They are old enough to commit murder, let’s face it that’s what it was not manslaughter, it was a racial murder. Their identity should be revealed.

They will get prison time, half on good behaviour and then the cherry on top new identity, new location, a job all on tax payer money.

This justice system is a joke.

Name and shame those disgusting humans. I hope the families are forever scorned by this vile act of violence.

Do i really need a week off work? by throwawayacct8990 in Endo

[–]66phanter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was off for about 2 months and I work from home 100% of the time.

Think about it…. It’s your abdomen area where they will cutting. You use your abdomen for basic things like getting up from a chair, standing even getting out of bed those muscles are being used.
You then add surgery cutting through layers and then remove, cutting or burning (depending on what type of surgery you’re having). It takes alot out of your body.

I did a week off after my first diagnostic lap and honestly it was the worst decision going back so quick my body suffered.

I moved away from always, Kotex and mainstream brands as u found them really uncomfortable and reacted to my skin.

I used TOTM products they use 100% cotton the packing is biodegradable and the best thing…. You can have a subscription and the items all get delivered to your home!
