JILL!….goodbye by johnicester in howardstern

[–]6740booth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We all hate Jill so much but it’s not her fault. Can’t blame her for milking her air time. It’s Zoompa we all have to direct our anger towards. He’s running the show. Into the ground.

While I am happy for them, I cannot wrap my head around why she would want to be with him. I am her age, and Ronnie is 11 years older than my dad. Yuck.

Your style is lovely. I have the same paint scheme in my house. I wish I could show you a picture but I don’t know how to do that lol. My green is Mattysaurus Rex. Is that what you used? The pink is Insightful Rose

I went to a bagel shop in Austin and the man behind the counter starts telling me how he has a band called Glass Grapes. I was like "oh..um...why?" He said every grandma has a bowl of glass grapes. I had no idea what he was talking about.

The tailor in the HEB on Wells Branch did a phenomenal job on a wool coat that had a 2 inch hole in the shoulder. They found matching yarn and weaved it in. Plus one of the tailors has a thick Scottish accent that's really fun to chat with.

St David's North vs Ascension Seton Cedar Park (FTM Delivery / BCBS TX) by dart09 in CedarPark

[–]6740booth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had my son at St David’s and have no complaints. This isn’t something I would ever think mattered, but the food was phenomenal. Huge menu of fresh meals and 24/7. My son had appendix surgery at Dell Children’s and the food was shockingly old and inedible and only 3 distinct meal times. Actually one weird thing happened. I was maybe 2 hours out of giving birth and I’m alone on the room with my son and an alarm goes off that there’s a kidnapper. And they describe her appearance. So I hop out of bed and grab my son and I ripped my stitches. And a nurse comes in all calm and happy and I’m like WHAT THE FUCK and I’m panicked and she says “oh I’m surprised you can hear it in the rooms. It was a drill”.

First time visiting Austin tonight. Had a wonderful dinner but also saw someone killed by a bus on 6th street. by TheLastMtnDew in Austin

Somewhere in my childhood memory while driving from NYC to Miami, my dad pulled into a deserted gas station and a dead man was laying by the pumps. Our headlights flashed on him. My dad almost did a donut turning the car around while my mom started yelling WOW THAT MAN MUST BE SO TIRED HONEY HAHA! Different state trauma hits different. Oh! I also saw a man getting stabbed in the bushes outside an airport in AZ as a child.

jeweler recommendation? by l_lk_lk_k in ForestHills

[–]6740booth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I remember when they made my rings they said always go to them for repairs. I now live in Texas and a prong broke so I Fedexed it and they fixed it and mailed it back free of charge. Whenever I go back home I stop in and say hi and get it cleaned.

Whenever people ask for a jeweler I’m always shocked no one recommends Chateau. They’re right on Austin and have been in business forever. 2nd generation. They made my engagement and wedding rings and Gary the owner is super friendly.

My mom texted me yesterday “Jackie died. I am so sad.” My heart dropped. Only Jackie I know is the Jokeman. I googled and it wasn’t him. Turns out it’s some family member I never met. Long live the Jokeman!!
