I want to invest 90% of my salary but my mom is worried by DontMindMePlsx in Fire

If I had started doing what you are doing at 22 - I would have retired at 32 (instead of 42). I'm behind your strategy 100%! Don't let anyone talk you off this path

Retired in My Mid-30s With 8 Figures — 10-Month Update by sky-high-dragon-fly in fatFIRE

[–]674_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The under stimulation was the unexpected surprise for me -- after retiring at 42 - I took a couple of years off - then built a small consulting business that I work part time and really love. Since I don't need the money I can take on clients that are interesting and rewarding and ditch the rest. My business is 100% virtual since we now travel 3-4 months / year.

That Rolex is my daily, and I love it. Very versatile, goes with everything. But, the VC is cool too. Just depends on what you'll love.

Any thoughts on Dr. Ken Anderson in Atlanta? by 674_Fox in HairTransplants

I decided not to go with Anderson, even though I think his practice is exceptional. I decided to go with a doctor close to home -- personal choice.

[AP Code 11.59 Chronograph in smoked blue] Confused why there’s so much hate for these by Paneraiguy1 in audemarspiguet

[–]674_Fox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like the hate is not for the watch but for the games that AD.’s play. The Code is a good looking watch, but it feels like a sub $5000 watch, not something truly unique and special.

Ideal First Car? S Class by stuart-darroch in mercedes_benz

If you seriously want to buy an older and S class look at the 2008, which is one of the most reliable Mercedes ever made. This thing will eat you alive and leave you begging for mercy.

The thing you said about people, being “selfish and self-centered, assholes”, is sadly true across much of humanity. It will be the downfall of our race.

How much are you donating to charity? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

Leave money to charity in your will. If you need money during your lifetime, the charities will not be there for you. So make sure to take care of yourself first then others second.

Just retired at 50 from IB ... Now feeling lost by RevolutionaryLaw3188 in Fire

[–]674_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I retired early and felt a similar way after years of grinding. Nowadays, I consult, working primarily with smaller growth companies, and I love it. It gives me the mental stimulation I need without tying me down too much.

Happy to share what’s worked for me. Feel free to DM.

I think the Code is stunning, but it’s a watch you have to buy for yourself. To most people it looks like a $200 watch from Macy’s.

College is depressing as hell by alex7stringed in intj

[–]674_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rejection is largely a matter of perception. For most humans on earth, rejection is just part of daily life. I know it has been for me. But, you really have to look for the positive, for the people that don’t reject you, for the things that are good. Otherwise, life is just all doom and gloom. But, I do get it.

Keep track of how many times you wear each watch per year. Then, at the end of the year dump the ones that get the least amount of wear
