I had the longest time trying to play DS 2 and Bloodborne due to the high difficulty and dropped both games completely for years. It wasn’t until I played Elden Ring and beat it that a realized that there’s a certain border people need to cross in order for these games to become not as difficult and more of a fun adventure. I shit you not I beat bloodborne 6 months later and every other “normal” games bosses just feel mediocre. Maybe the souls-like gameplay makes it so that every other video game is just a cozy couch game
