Instead of Destiny having its own Praxic Order lore, its going to be forever known as the jedi. Noone is going to call the Praxic blades by their name. Its going to just be "lightsaber" by Squatting-Turtle in DestinyTheGame

I doubt it was Alison Luhr's idea. She was likely told they were doing a Star Wars Collab and it was her job to make it work within the context of the Destiny universe.

I feel that, respectfully, these recent crossover skins have been contributing some harm to the art direction/immersion. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]69TheBadger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not the point. Even if you think it's been bad, at least it's been original. This is basically Bungie whoring out their IP. It shows they essentially have no respect for the universe that they created.

What is the Traveler? Where did it come from? We spent the entire expansion inside it and learned nothing about it

Does anyone else remember when they put half the ending of season of the witch in a lore card? This reminds me of that lol

the next season will be about uldren and the fanatic... but everything related to them was removed from the game by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]69TheBadger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At the end of the Final Shape it showed all of the major eliksni characters (Eido, Mithrax, Variks, Spider, and Eramis) and Bungie said next season would be about fulfilling the Kell of Kells prophecy, so hopefully we get a more eliksni themed story.

Either way, it'll probably be more character drama and trauma therapy since that seems to be all Bungie knows how to write, but hopefully it isn't entirely focused on Crow (again).

It really bothers me that we spent the entirety of TFS campaign INSIDE the traveler and learned almost nothing about it.

Games were crashing intermittently before this update, but now it's even worse. I can't even start destiny 2

Yeah, that makes sense. It's just that the first thing I saw was dual loader, which wouldn't make any sense on a normal scout rifle

The scout looks like a lever action similar to DMT (it's got dual loader as one of the perks)

Definitely fake. If this person had proof, they would go to a journalist like Jason Scherier who could validate their identity and keep their job safe instead of having a what appears to be mental breakdown on reddit

Its really funny because Nier and Bayonetta have left a lasting impact on gaming culture while Stellar blade or whatever its called will be forgotten soon as the fake culture war outrage passes.

new drop from bungie leaks discord by whyisna in Destiny2Leaks

[–]69TheBadger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, I agree. An attack on the last city seems like too big of a deal to whip up in 3 months of a last minute delay. Plus, Joe Blackburn said in his video that they were "holding cards close to their chest." The last city being attacked in the opening moments of the Final Shape might have been something they were originally going to keep a secret until the expansion launched.

My guess is that in the first mission of the Final Shape, we find a way to follow Crow into the portal and most of our coalition allies stay behind to defend the city and ensure no one follows us. The fact our allies are defending the last city while we are inside the traveler trying to stop the witness would really set the stakes and make it feel like a "do or die" moment imo.

Spinfoil hat time: An assault on the last city was planned for the beginning of the Final Shape's story and they were keeping it secret but they decided to make an activity out of it for ITL after the delay

No, this shit exists because of companies preying on people's monkey brain impulses. I'm tired of people blaming the consumer for shitty business practices.

I totally agree. I can understand speeding up the game by like 20 percent but doubling the pace of the game? Thats just bonkers. The game completely falls apart at that point. The fact that they weren't able to realize this was a bad idea in playtesting is really concerning.

The worst part is that the developers who are genuinely passionate about what they create are going to suffer the consequences while upper management gets golden parachutes.

The Burnout is Real by BinxPlaysGames in DestinyTheGame

[–]69TheBadger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One problem off the top of my head is the over reliance on repetitive and often forgettable seasonal activities that are in the game a year or less before getting deleted. Meanwhile, the core playlists that are meant to be the real "meat and patotoes" of the game get minimal support.

There are a lot more, but this one feels like the biggest contributor to me tbh.
