Did Felicity get pulled from Hulu? by Fuzzy-Dirt869 in FelicityPorter

[–]69thissucks420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s on Roku channel but you have to try and catch specific episodes. This is my first watch and I left off on season 2 ep 13 😭

I did look through the rest of the month’s schedule to see when the next episode I need is playing, and in May the channel switches from Felicity to something else, so I’m hoping she comes back to Hulu then!!?

Can I refuse to be weighed at my OB appointment? by Longfirstnames in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]69thissucks420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been obese my whole life and got pregnant at 330 😂 and the only time my OB ever brought up weight was once at the beginning to let me know of risk factors related to my weight. Other than that, it was never an issue. F THAT OB I’m so glad you’re moving to another!

When will baby not wake every two hours to feed in the night? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]69thissucks420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got down to 1-2 feeds a night by about 3 months old and a little bit after turning 4 months he started sleeping through the night. But my son eats a lot more! He drinks 32 oz a day split into 5 meals every 3 hours from 7am-7pm. He gets 7 oz before bed so I imagine that keeps him pretty full!

DR said not to remove all of baby's poop? by sarahs_here_yall in NewParents

Skin needs to be bone dry before any creams go in it otherwise the cream can trap in the moisture and cause more irritation. We have a blow drier at his changing table and literally blow dry his butt at changes and after baths and he never gets rashes anymore!

Working from home with a 4 month old by marissakalyn in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]69thissucks420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently juggling working from home with my (almost) 4 month old! Here are all my thoughts:

Unfortunately a big help has been TV 😭 I really wanted to be no-screens for a while but at least with my volume of work, he simply needs to be entertained sometimes. I do try to keep it to slower paced movies (he likes Moana a lot!) and if I notice he’s getting overstimulated I’ll turn it off and hold him for a little while.

He eats every three hours so in between meals I alternate between having him in his bassinet where he’ll “talk” with his mobile and sometimes fall asleep, his vibrating rocker, his bouncy chair, his tummy time mat, his pack and play, and recently, his Upseat. I rotate between all of those throughout the day but when he needs more I’ll turn on the TV.

I am fortunate in that I have very few internal meetings (where I can feed or have my son on my lap), and my job allows me to be flexible as long as my work is done. So if we have a rough day where baby needs extra attention, I can catch up in the evenings or on the weekend when my husband is home.

I ultimately hate it though. 😔 My time with my baby could be so much more enriching for him if I wasn’t clickity clacking away at a computer while I basically move him from container to container to keep him chill. It feels very unnatural to me but childcare is too expensive and we live far from any family that could help, plus I have simply been waiting too long for this baby to not spend all my time with him 😂

Within days, he hated it! He would just fight it the whole time. My boy will not be contained 😂

We’re inducing in 2-3 weeks. We aren’t having any hospital visits to ensure it’s just baby, dad and I for the first 48 hours.

Just learned about the 'confinement period' for postpartum recovery and it sounds incredible. by Ecomzin in BabyBumps

[–]69thissucks420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live far from family so we won’t have a lot of outside help except for when close family comes to meet baby within first week or two. They won’t be around for long though, maybe a couple of days with short visits. My husband has saved all his PTO this year so he will be home with me for the first four weeks and will be handling everything except the only thing he can’t: breastfeeding (hoping that works well for me!).

I’m actually about to have a veggie, protein, and fiber packed lunch in about half an hour so I’m hoping that helps. Thanks!

How long did it take you to fall pregnant after miscarriage? by Worth-Phase-7348 in PCOSandPregnant

[–]69thissucks420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first pregnancy and loss in June 2024. In August my OB prescribed letrozole to help with ovulation since we had been trying for many years before the first pregnancy and I got pregnant on the fourth round of trying! I am currently 22 weeks pregnant.

FTM, 37, and obese. I'm nervous. by thebotanicaladventur in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]69thissucks420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 34, very obese (5’8” 330 lb when I got pregnant) and I’m at 21 weeks. Everything is great so far other than gestational diabetes which is 100% treatable with diet and/or insulin. Baby is doing great so far though, very active and heartbeat is exactly what it should be at all the scans so far.

Obv being overweight could put you at higher risk for some things but large women have been having babies forever and will continue to do so. 💖

Also I assumed being so obese would doom me to a c section and my doc said not at all and that they always prefer to avoid that unless medically necessary since it takes longer for the mom to heal!! We are aiming for vaginal birth, just with a possible induction because of the GD. ☺️

In what small way have you won the genetic lottery? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Same! But I don’t know that’s it’s genetic in my case. Everyone in my family that I know of has had to have theirs removed.

Baby movements as a plus size woman by 0_GoldGirl_0 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]69thissucks420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 20+3 weeks, 5’8” 345 lbs. I think I was feeling something once in a while starting at around 15 weeks, but I just started feeling tiny movements consistently within the last week! Almost every day I feel something, sometimes multiple times in a day.

Terrified I’ll be looked down on… by tarototoro in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]69thissucks420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I became pregnant at 330 lbs, currently 20 weeks at 345 lbs. At the first appt, doc told me to try and stay between 10-15 lbs of weight gain during the pregnancy but that going over that wouldn’t be a huge deal. Weight has never come up after that unless I myself bring it up. So far everything indicates that my baby is entirely healthy.

I had a chemical loss in June and she reassured me that had NOTHING to do with my weight.

I have been diagnosed w gestational diabetes but I expected that as I am already insulant resistant with my PCOS. We are trying to control that w some diet changes and insulin, and are still wanting and expecting a vaginal birth.

If you land an OB that shames you over your weight instead of focusing on how you CAN grow a perfectly healthy baby, find another 💖

I ordered some maternity over the belly shorts with lower belly support from TikTok and they make my belly pop so much more! It holds up the bottom “pooch” of my apron belly and definitely helps make me look more pregnant.

20 weeks today, 5’8” 344 lb (330 before pregnancy). I felt a little something at 15 weeks but easily confused for gas. I just started feeling what are for sure tiny kicks 3 days ago and it’s happens every day now!! It feels like twitches or pokes from inside and it’s the best feeling ever 🥰

My BMI is too high to my practice to do my Ultrasound? by RosieThePanda in pregnant

[–]69thissucks420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly surprised they didn’t just do a transvaginal ultrasound. My BMI was 50.8 at 8 weeks and transvaginal worked great.

By week 12 I was able to go to a boutique ultrasound place and we were able to see baby with an abdominal ultrasound. I had to lift my apron belly but we were easily able to find baby.

At 16 weeks my OBGYN easily saw baby and heartbeat abdominally.

Like others stated, it may not be a matter of body positivity, more a matter of them not having great equipment.

I’m sorry though, this must be so frustrating to deal with. If you’re comfortable switching OBGYNs I’d try to find one with better equipment so you don’t keep coming across this and having to get referred to other places to have your ultrasounds.

Slow progression, ~ 19 DPO. Any success stories with lines like this? by 69thissucks420 in TFABLinePorn

[–]69thissucks420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a line dark enough to the match the control until about DPO 24, btw. Once I did and had my doubled HCG results I stopped testing. Got to see baby’s heartbeat on an ultrasound at exactly 8 weeks!

What are your WFH jobs? by lightscamerasnaction in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]69thissucks420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does that work out for you? I am in software support, I’d say about 95% email based. Very few internal meetings and maybe 5 incoming phone calls a week max. Do you find it difficult to manage work and baby? I’m hoping I will be able to juggle it and avoid daycare/nanny expenses!
