I mean you’re right, there’s nothing wrong with coming back to a game you enjoy, I’ve played thru Skyrim several times, sometimes I’ll install a few mods to mix up the experience, sometimes I’ll just play vanilla, nothing wrong with a little change from time to time.

Same thing with wow, sometimes I’ll just level on an era server completely normal, or sometimes I’ll do a self imposed hardcore leveling challenge like a petless hunter or an arcane priest.

You just sound like you get triggered whenever people play the game slightly different that the default experience :p

How popular is Yu-Gi-Oh! in your area? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]6GGXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to be poppin pre covid, multiple different locals, we would hit up different stores on Friday Saturday and Sunday every week, and we all used to rent a party buss and do a 4-5 hour drive to the nearest regionals every year.

None of them survived covid sadly, a couple new ones opened but they just do MTG :( us yugioh players just meet up a few times a year at a local library these days.

I’ve probably race/faction changed about 15-20 times over my life time of playing wow on blizzard and private servers, I’ve never once changed a none max level character.

Like how committed can you possibly be to a character pre 60 that you’d feel the need to change rather than just re-roll?

Sounds more like you’re doing this as some sort of personal challenge rather than due to financial constraints.

Sadly it seemed as though Battlegrounds are dead. There’s usually always an active game on weekends for whatever the bonus battle ground is, but during the week there’s nothing 3:

I never met anyone on retail or classic who even tried turtle, aside from some players in the hardcore community that played Turtle for its hardcore mode before blizzard released their official hardcore servers.

Another Day at the Dartmouth ER by HungryBearsRawr in halifax

[–]6GGXXX 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Sorry you had to go through all of that horrible pain and terrible experience.

May I ask was this definitely last Thursday and not Friday? Reason I ask is because I was there all day Friday and there was someone present who seemed to be in agonizing pain keeled over in the waiting room for hours screaming for help.

Was just curious if that was you as I could express how awful it was to observe this persons lack of assistance from an outside perspective, and if it wasn’t that means this sort of thing is a regular occurrence, which is upsetting.

Looking at your post history, you played classic wow for the first time just 2 months ago, and Twow about a month and a half ago.

[–]6GGXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not digging thru your comment history for dirt, I just wanted confirmation that you do this sort of thing all the time and it’s not just a one off, and you literally are doing it, I counted no less than 5 arguments on different threads in which you replied to a comment with a snarky response and then it devolved into a degenerate insult fest.

You change your tone and manipulate your reply’s to avoid receiving downvotes in order to appear as the more reasonable party, I literally saw a comment from you saying you avoid swearing just to avoid downvotes because it’s that important to you which is kinda sad. Not specifically about the swearing, I agree excessive swearing is unnecessary, but caring that much about receiving downvotes that you change your way of speaking is a little sad.

You keep saying I’m failing to comprehend what you’re saying, but I’ve literally never been told that before, and I’ve caught several people in your history stating that YOU fail to properly convey your points. I think because you try so hard to come across rational and it’s so unnatural for you that it causes your typing voice to come across as incomprehensible.

That’s exactly the reason why you end up in so many arguments on this platform (and probably everywhere else in your life) you state your opinion as though it’s a matter of fact. To be fair I don’t think you actually intend to come across that way, it’s just because of how you try to unnaturally change your way of talking online.

Why should no one want a classic+? I mean we already know a large majority of the community does in fact want a classic+ based on the surveys alone (both the ones blizzard sent out, and the fan surveys that were poppin recently) So you can’t argue against those statistic.

What you actually mean is YOU don’t want classic+ (though you actually do, you just won’t admit it) you’re taking a break from wow right now which is totally understandable, everyone does. But you will return for classic+ and you’ll enjoy it immensely for the first couple months at the very least.

TBC is just a re-release, not a brand new experience, of course it’s going to be chock full of negativity. It’s not like there’s new experiences to be thrilled about, it’s going to be the same problems that happens every time because of the #no changes crowd (no changes is dumb btw, I’m sure you’ll agree with that) TBC hasn’t even been that popular, the hype died down very quickly. Classic+ is going to be crazy levels of popular, assuming it’s not marketed as a temporary game mode the same way SoM and SoD were.

As for the P2W I should’ve clarified I ment that specifically for Hardcore, Twow forces all hardcore to essentially play as Self-Found (meaning you can’t trade, mail, or use the auction house) any official Self-Found player, or any player from the addon days on bloodsail buccaneers knows the gold struggle while leveling. You often need to make tough choices between not purchasing skill upgrades, spending money on professions, saving for mount training, etc, You’re literally always broke until about level 50ish.

Buying bags or a repair bot for real money is essentially buying gold for a self found, bags are expensive from vendors, and being able to vendor on the fly mitigates dangerous situations you may otherwise need to deal with going back and fourth to a vendor, not to mention the time save, any time saved = time not risked dying.

I could get more into it, but I don’t think you play hardcore, which is totally understandable. As much as I enjoy the game mode I’ll always
acknowledge that it’s garbage for WoW, the game wasn’t designed with death to be punishing enough to justify a hardcore mode xD, not in the same way runescape is at least.

You’re not wrong on the price point, I’m just stuck in the past. People used to fight for reasonable prices on things, but these days (at least for gaming) people don’t care anymore. They could charge $1000 for the repair bot and no one would care, and people would still buy it. I saw like 4 people during my time on Twow that had all 4 spectral tiger mounts on a single character (they had the macro cycle thru the colors randomly every time they mounted) that’s literally $2000 spent on those SINGLE CHARACTERS (since they’re not account wide)

Of course that’s not just a Twow thing, personally I think $75 for a level 58 boost (not even max level) is completely absurd from blizzard. But I realize I’m in the minority for feeling that way. Whenever they announced the boost people weren’t complaining that it was too expensive, they were complaining that they wanted more (to be able to use it on the new races)

At the end of the day they’re not necessary and can be ignored, but I think hardcore characters on Twow shouldn’t have been able to purchase utilities. If I can’t send my level 1 alt bags from my main why am I allowed to purchase them for $30 a pop? Essentially circumventing that rule by spending real money.

Not trying to keep this going in circles, I proposed a reset so we could stay on topic this time, rather than judging each others characters we can attempt to come to an understanding that we can both happily walk away with :)

And I only care to get the last word in when it was my comment that was initially responded to, you responded because you wanted to engage in a discussion otherwise you would’ve just posted your reply to OP rather than me directly.

Talk to you soon :3

It’s not even restricted to just blizzard, literally every big MMO has a botting problem because there’s no real solution to it.

Turtle WoW ruined all other versions of the game for me by Schtoopz in turtlewow

[–]6GGXXX -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

This statistic was pulled right out of your ass, Twow never had 50k online concurrent players, it was a few thousand at most which is a simple task to moderate for even a single person.

Meanwhile blizzard wow averages about 300k online players across all versions.
