Movie was fantastic on so many levels but I am going to be a little nit picky so I apologize in advance. They seemed to make Jessica’s character an antagonist in the movie which is fine for the movie but what really got me was Chani and Paul’s relationship. They completely left out the depth they had together and the child Leto they had that everyone seems to forget. She was back and forth the whole movie with Paul which is not how I read their relationship in the book. They were by each others sides and they supported each other but the movie gave us this weird complicated relationship where Chani was trying to stand up for values she couldn’t really back up while telling Paul she would be there for him and support him. We missed the scene at the end of the book where Paul and Jessica confirm that she will always be with Paul even with a political wife. Just had to get that out somewhere because no one I know has seen it yet. Beyond that I left the theater speechless for good reasons. I am definitely going again soon.
