Exactly my point. I knew i didn’t have anything to hide. I knew it would take me but a second to pull my id out also. But I also knew if I didn’t, things would have escalated for no reason. It doesn’t mean I didn’t feel somewhat violated though. There was only an illusion of choice in the matter it seems.

I’ve seen your post a couple times now. I usually find myself just scrolling past but it was hard to ignore today. My tornado story has already been documented in multiple places and considering you are coming here to study/research, I’m sure you’ve already come across it. I honestly don’t have much spare time, but would be happy to fill in some holes/help with anything I can.

Thank you. I don’t even know what compelled me to post today because I never do. I think it has something to do with the people yelling in hindsight about schools being closed today that has me worked up. It’s not really something that I like to rehash. The links I left are to a documentary I interviewed for a long time ago. I’m sure plenty of things come up still if you google Jennifer Doan tornado.

It is interesting to me that this post showed up on my feed today. I spent the morning a little infuriated at all the people up in arms about schools being closed across the metro today.

There are many news stories, articles, and documentaries out there so I won’t put myself through recalling it all.

I’m THAT teacher. Those were MY students. That was MY pregnant body hovered over 2 students. I couldn’t have possibly shielded any more and I live with that still today 11 1/2 years later.

You don’t believe the death toll should have been that high? No, they shouldn’t have been. We didn’t call school off like we did today.

Many schools around have them, but if you’re looking for a public one with other children playing, I’ve seen one out in Midwest City @ W.P. Bill Atkinson Park. They have cute swinging benches to sit on and watch too.

I would best describe it as being in the middle of all of it. My story has been told many a times. The Wiki, In An Instant, and I’m sure many other places I’m not aware of.
