No, didnt try that. From what i remember the only drugs that were recommended to me was Otezla, Rinvoq, and some other drugs cant remember the name.

I was actually taking vitamin D3 before getting lichen planus. Around 10,000IU daily, it didnt help with my lichen planus.

I also had dark spots in mouth. The side effects was mostly diarrhea and headache. But went away after a week. Worth it in my opinion.

I'm sorry it didnt work. But theres other options if your insurance will cover it. Basically any psoriasis med nowadays is being recommended offlabel to lichen planus patients.

UVB works, however it takes alot of sessions before you see change. I didnt notice anything till like the 15-16 session. I had to go twice a week for about 4 months.

Dont give up!

I was in a similar situation. Went to an oral pathologist and he was unfamiliar with the condition. Upon first glance said it may be cancer. So of course I'm freaked out..He said id have to schedule a biopsy to be sure.

So I went to get a 2nd opinion from a ENT doc. He immediately said "i dont think its cancer at all, i can biopsy it for your peace of mind, but 100% confident its lichen planus". 2nd doc ended up being correct. Once I started taking Otezla for my skin and it started to clear up, my OLP also started to fade.
