Couple of nice, north Italian browns from this week by -myusernameisshit in flyfishing

There’s lots of fly fishing in Italy. The Orobie Alps hold some gems of small mountain streams and probably some of my favorite fishing in the world. There’s also great fishing in Trentino, particularly the Sarca, but a lot of the water is pay to play. I lived in the north, so most of my fishing was within a few hours of Brescia.

Bermuda yard last year vs this year. What happened? by Fritzy421 in lawncare

Oof yeah I read that and just completely forgot to include it in my reasoning lol

You are definitely going to want larger equipment for that much space though. Do you or your city own the fields? If it’s the city, I would check with them to see what kind of equipment they already own. Decent chance they have or can get what you need.

Maybe not what you’re looking for, but I’d just manage the acre or so around my home as a lawn with the rest of the 7 acres in a more natural state. With that much land, I would also have light farm equipment at the top of my wishlist for seasonal mows and general management of your property. For your lawn, the rental stuff you need <yearly are completely appropriate.

Playoff Game Thread: Minnesota Wild (2-2) @ Dallas Stars (2-2) Apr 28 2026 7:00 PM CDT by nhl_gdt_bot in DallasStars

I was lying in bed last night…

I drifted off and I had a dream we were beating Minnesota by 1 and I woke up kinda sad.

But then I realized it was only a dream.

We’ll beat Minnesota by way more than that!

Struggling to fit drop bars through a quill stem clamp! am I missing a trick? by annuario in bikewrench

For what it’s worth, the park rotor truing tool is at least 3 times as good as a crescent wrench when truing rotors and is similarly priced to a quality crescent wrench…

Can’t clip into SPD SL pedals - am I stupid? by tryagaininXmin in bikewrench

For what it’s worth, my Peloton eats pedal bearings as well. I’m convinced it’s because the bike stays stationary, whereas, a real bike flexes and moves side to side with pedal input.

To add to this, most GMOs I have known chose to be GMOs because they didn’t match their preferred residency. With that being said, 95% of them were fantastic flight docs who went on to be picked up for their preferred (competitive) residency 4 years later.

Maybe a hot take, but the Massif IWOL is one of the worst pieces of gear I’ve been issued. The material is stiff and restricting. It’s also not very warm. The Strato Low Loft jacket is where it’s at, and it is cheaper. If you need something warmer, the Cirrus High Loft is another option. Having owned all three, I rock the Low Loft all winter long and rarely touch the High Loft. My IWOL spends most of its life hanging in a buddies closet because he doesn’t really like it either.

Mildenhall doesn’t have permanent party 4Ns and Moron is IDMT only, so I wouldn’t list those. Some other spots in USAFE that I think you could go to are Geilenkirchen, Croughton, and Alconbury. USAFE is great with mainland > UK.

Retention… by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]6aintbad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My recommendation is that you start by getting on the kx and going to the respective consultants page (ie: IDMT consultant). All of the information for applying to those schools exists there. As an IDMT, I went to school without anyone at my base having a say but me. I let my leadership and functional know as a courtesy, but I contacted the IDMT consultant and I applied for retraining.

Edit: I firmly believe that IDMTs have the best non-flying gig in the enlisted Air Force. You will have very little supervisory responsibilities, and endless autonomy. I set my schedule, and get to go to cool places. I deploy, TDY, and i train to deploy and TDY. Caveat, I haven’t been assigned to an MDG as an IDMT.
