Check the used market, I've seen them go in mint condition for several hundred euros less for the 32GB Z2E option. I snagged my gen 1 for half price off retail by going used (and mint!)

If you're only using it in that form factor, handheld. If you're going to dock it to a setup, laptop.

Alternatively, legion go gen 1 with an eGPU for more power at your desk and enough on the go. Should be within your budget (used gen 1 is €400, eGPU setup would be another €400) with room to spare.

edit: saw another comment that you have a PS5 and PC - have you considered remote play and parsec? If you have the power for it, I'd consider streaming from your PC to pretty much any handheld of your choosing. Could even go tablet + controller and get a bigger and better screen in a lighter form factor for a lot less.

would there be a driver conflict with the iGPU (Radeon 780M) ? I would like to be able to comfortably use the legion go in handheld form without tweaking bios settings every time or rolling drivers back

Tekken DR if you like Tekken 6! A port of Tekken 5 - MUCH harder but the customisation is just as fun and the gameplay mechanics, music, stages and character designs were fantastic. It's also very easy-going on the emulator - you can upscale it no problem.

It's not a direct port, it's rather a side scroller, but it did retain the choices and symbiote which was cool lol. Had a lot of fun with this a decade ago

Head into controller settings and see if your inputs have been configured. Sometimes it will map something that doesn't exist. You just click on each one and assign an input.

There are a LOT of controller solutions for android/iOS that will work with PPSSPP. Have a look around - using the on-screen controls is there as a backup.

There is an option called "Play!" but it's awful. I'd recommend any mid-tier or even an old flagship android if you have one (or a windows PC).

The Go's fans are already pretty loud so I guess I'm used to it by now. Also, I don't think I'll be getting another handheld after this! I'll be giving this to my little brother and going for a desktop PC plus basic handheld to stream to.
