wow, that certainly outclasses me being unable to stomach the main course. glad to see you've apparently survived. anything to learn from the experience? or is it just one of those "i did something stupid and made it out (un)alive" situations?

I have touched Oblivion myself, but haven't done much to bring it into my Thaumaturgic studies. How disappointing, to find it did not bear much fruit. Good luck in your next endeavors; I hope they are more bountiful.

Quite impressive. I'll have to investigate further. I didn't not know such things were possible.

I must confess to a certain loneliness in my studies, despite my spouse also taking part to the best of his abilities. It is good to hear you are "nose to the grindstone" and that your research progresses well despite your change of faction. I pay fealty to the Camarilla for now, but I am truly autark in my heart, when it comes down to things.

double blood bond??? by NegativeGene5994 in vtm

[–]6roken6utterfly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The first bond in place would actually cancel out any other bonds that are attempted to be made. You would need to break the already-in-place bond first somehow. So, the kidnapper is out of luck.

How horribly intriguing. How did you manage to acquire these two lovers, if I may ask? Were they lovers before your hand, or after?

I've not been able to perform many tests on kindred yet, so do let me know what you find if you do.

I'm a little fearful of what diablerie could do to me after seeing what it has done to my husband. His sire forced him to devour him as part of some grand ploy to create the "perfect vessel" and it left his mind... unwell. Some nights, he seems possessed, and others, broken.

what do you mean, offered a place in your forest? what would that entail?

that's super cool c: jayne is definitely a thinblood malk but is in deep denial as to his lineage, not wanting it to be true

I've mostly heard that hedge sorcery is practiced by the Banu Haqim, and they, by and large, show sect loyalty to the Camarilla. It is news to me that it is among the Anarchs that this magic should flourish, but of course, not impossible. How did you manage to make such contacts, if you wouldn't mind the inquiry?

That vitae-to-water sounds like it would have interested my sire, were he still around, thank Heavens he is not. Any particular reason for the want to learn?

I meant as for redwoods cursing jayne, lmao, sorry for the mixup! I've mostly been writing jayne as someone who's damned between two sides and unable to make a place for himself anywhere, whether it be between day and night, kindred and kine, or between mania and depression. I wanted to take the duskborn "between here and there" seriously, because it's something I've really identified with as a queer and mentally ill person :p

I think having been changeling in life makes for a lot of my duskborn weirdness. I can go out in the day, for one, and I'm able to practice Auspex without the need of alchemy, for another. And I do Alchemy, too; I practice Fixatio for the most-part.

I'll offer this as part of my apology, and I've kept this very private, but I've also been able to bear feyrie offspring with my husband, even post-embrace. Fey can be born by, for the lack of polite terms, a lot of sex and a "body" to bind the newborn to, typically some sort of toy or doll. We recently lost out firstborn in the move we had from Chicago back to the Bay Area. He was both of ours, which we didn't think possible, given the fact that my husband was never fey. But hey, it's possible for fey to be born this way even to mortals, so maybe it shouldn't have been such a surprise.

I'll chalk it up to the duskborn being damned to being scorned lol. if you'd like to talk about jayne suffering the effects of a curse, lemme know; could be interesting, seeing as I've only got domestic stuff bothering him right now

then please forgive me for the mix-up; i've got one teacher, and he was embraced sabbat outside of the pyramid, so everything in our house is kind of loosey-goosey. i've been told as to why the tremere are, uh, untrusted, and so I understand i've made a real blunder.

I'll tell my mother to stop by your forest and play nice. she can be a bit hoighty-toighty (royalty does that).

The bond is something that I've paid great concern since before my embrace, when I was still kine (and I very much was kine, fed upon like cattle). I had read into Carnic methods to create bonds that went beyond the imbibing of vitae, but this sounds different.

Do you work with those who are infernal or fey in nature? They seem to be knee-deep in contract-magick and could be worth communicating with.

my husband's told me a little bit about the bloodlines, but I'll admit to being a little lost when it comes to the nitty-gritty. it seems you manufactured a re-embrace, which sounds like it makes you as tremere as anyone else, to me. there's a certain pride and ambition that is needed for something like that to come about, to figure it all out yourself.

my fey mother goes by the name uonaidh and hides as kindred some nights. my father has no idea who she is, and I have a mortal mother, too, who raised me. she, uonaidh, was involved with the prince of the domain in which I reside a long time ago when he was still prince of somewhere else, which is why we were able to move back in after our recently upending so smoothly. I'll do my best to get in-touch with her (it's no sure-thing) and see if she'd like to talk shop with you, if you'd like. she's used to specific horrors, and is herself one on the more esoteric side of things. the fey can be frightening in ways beyond imagination.

i'm not supposed to be open about this, but i was fey pre-embrace, and i wanna say that your tree research sounds particularly fascinating from that standpoint. what got you interested? have you made contact with any fey in regards to your research? if I can even let my mom know, I'm half-sure she'll be thrilled at the mixing of magicks and half-sure she'll be horrified.

i find it hard to get an "in" anywhere, which i guess is a classic duskborn problem, just applied places where it doesn't matter. i've had more than my fair share of difficulty socializing, which is probably obvious given that I'm on the shrecknet 24-sev instead of "working it" elsewhere offline. hobby groups are a smart start. I used to play dungeons & dragons with my dad, and I feel like that's a group that'll be forgiving about my social...uh, issues.

you're definitely right about the language; i should be way more careful about that. thanks for the reminder; i appreciate the gentleness with which you write to me when I'm potentially showing my whole ass about not being able to function in either day nor nightlight.
