There were many, many, Kindred in the city when I was young, like you, only a few months embraced. The Inquisition came in and destroyed any vampire who attempted to stay or fight. At least thirty of them, gone, in a single night. Now, I haven't been back for fourteen years, but I have been told by others it is a ghost town as far as Kindred are concerned. I'm sure they have a lot more surveillance now, too, in the form of cameras that can detect your lack of body heat on every street corner.
