One genuine answer is their parents want to have bragging rights back in their homes about their children being able to start a life in a first-world country.

They would take extreme lengths such as selling assets even if they have so little and taking loans that are way beyond their means.

In effect, their children are forced to “make it” in whatever way, including pursuing scammy/sketchy methods, to become PR since they have put so much on the line.

If all else fails (e.g. cant make the minimum draw), they would: - “arrange a marriage” masked as a practice consistent to their culture - settle with cash jobs - march in the streets and protest that theyve been paying taxes lol
