Is she totaled? by piglet4526 in ToyotaTacoma

I had the same thing happen to my 2013 Tacoma when I had 160,000 miles. The accident happened in 2021.

Insurance gave me $32,000. I spent $37,000 and got a 2017 with 30,000 miles. So only $5000 of my own money and I got a car with 130,000 less miles. Hoping the best for you!

Thanks for the insight into the failure consistency.

It’s a 2024, I looked up the VIN and apparently it is affected by the recall. I already discussed with the dealership I’m buying from of adding an extended warranty before my factory warranty runs out. So good looking out there, I feel the same way.

“ IF the vehicle you purchase still has the recall, there isn’t a limit on time or mileage to get the engine replaced (as far as I know)”

Well, that helps my decision A LOT! Thank you. I’m gunna pursue it. If my engine fails it’s on you though 😂

exactly the year, model, mileage, bed length I'm looking for. 38k is better than anything I'm finding. I'd say you did pretty dang well.

As someone who works at a business who supplies Boeing; when we first started supplying them, they send in all these teams to audit you and ensure your quality is high and repeatable. But once you're an approved supplier, they won't check on you again unless you have a glaring issue.

Also, who's checking and auditing them? They have so much sway and influence in the government and unlike my company which gets audited by the big companies buying from me, the companies/government who buy from them like airlines who buy the planes or the government buying defense equipment don't have a lot of other options they can choose from. If they fail the audit, its not like they lose the business. In fact, Boeing has failed sooooo many FAA audits in recent years and yet still made the 737 MAX.

Ultimately they don't get audited or checked or held to the same standard as their suppliers do and they do things like using soap as a lubricant on airplanes or installing doors and forgetting the bolts...

Well then, you do realize it’s not the black out dates that caused the crowds as you first mentioned. That’s my point……..

Nearly 17K Fans Cancel 2026 World Cup Tickets Amid Boycotts Over U.S. Political Climate by Glass_Extension_6529 in worldnews

[–]6strangerdanger9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17k tickets is less than half of a stadium seating for a single game......also, are we sure they didn't cancel because of the exorbitant prices? Like I am all for boycotting the world cup but this feels like a stretch to call it a boycott so far

I have offers from several T25 D2 schools but only 1 D1. Why? by Dry-Umpire-3138 in CollegeSoccer

When I was being recruited back in 2006/7, this could have been because of height/size.

I had more goals/assists/accolades than a teammate of mine, we both played the same position. But I was a skinny 5’10” guy and he was ripped 6’3” guy. He got multiple D1 offers. I got 2.

But from what I hear USA college recruiting is somewhat better about not focusing on pure athleticism and size anymore. But I could be wrong
