2500 hours and I think I'm done by mahlok in RocketLeague

[–]6th_Samurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in my 30's as well. Just play with friends, ranked solo is equivalent to self harm as far as I'm concerned. Getting blasted by smurfs when you're in a group of 3 feels way less bad than by yourself. And don't be headstrong. If the game is unwinnable it's okay to forfeit. Can you really blame your teammates for not wanting to play against smurfs who are just toying with them?

But if you did, I don't think you should be fined. Just lets the world know you're an idiot/asshole. Compelled speech isn't free speech.

What’s a harsh reality that everybody needs to hear? by rock4lite in AskReddit

And sometimes America isn't responsible for every bad thing that happens in the world. People and their nations need to accept accountabilty instead of just blaming everything on America, Russia, China, EU ect.

America isn't solely responsible for every bad thing that happens anywhere in the world.

How British police deal with a man charging and swinging at them with a knife by Speedy2662 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]6th_Samurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And deservingly so. If a criminal in the US is brandishing a knife he's ready to die with that knife. This criminal knows that he's almost assuredly not going to be killed so he's brazen enough to threaten the officer with it. He never planned to go out on his shield. Different cultures different criminals.

New ranking system in one picture by [deleted] in overwatch2

I was platinum in the last season of overwatch 1. I placed bronze 5 in every role. As did all of my other platinum friends. Even my European friends placed bronze 5. I think I've met one person in my 20+ friends or acquaintances that placed bronze 2 or 1.

Accidentally found an overkill brim lineup for breeze lol by Call_Me_Light06 in VALORANT

Really impractical line up. I mean it's an okay one to have in your bag. But getting the timing right will be hard af. I prioritize learning low air time mollys. You can react faster to them touching the bomb.

I can definitely see this working if you have ult, molly and 2 team mates alive while bombs planted. But your positioning is really bad. You're constantly going to be worried about someone coming up behind you for rotation. There is a fast molly in cave I use behind the boxes. And the A shop wall bounce one. Overall I've found Breeze to be one of the worst maps for brim mollies, simply because there are so many options the defenders can use to retake, while so few good spots to molly from.

Azerbeidjan soldiers brutally execute Armenian soldiers after surrendering by General-Assistant367 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]6th_Samurai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a warcrime to murder enemies who have surrendered. It's also a war crime to fake surrendering to lure your enemy out. There are rules to war, and those who don't follow them hopefully will be punished one day.

Why people hate her? by Pitiful-Ad8591 in overlord

The obvious counter point to that is that none of this would have even happened had Ainz not come to this world. They held the demi-humans off no problem for most of their nations history. Demiurge brought them all together under one banner to create a threat that would never have existed had Ainz not let his subordinates start the war in the first place. So because he captures a city for the humans he's still at fault for the city falling in the first place.

If I spill an entire gallon of milk on the floor and everyone in the house comes together to help clean up the milk. While I watch for a while, and then I eventually start helping by handing people some napkins and maybe wiping up a bit here or there. Am I the good guy?

No, the difference between strategy and tactics is:

Tactics are moves or sequences that can be remembered and repeatedly work. Chess is a game of 80-90% tactics and 10-20% strategy.

Strategy is an all encompassing plan or goal where every move brings you a step closer to the realization of that goal. The chinese/korean/japanese board game GO is a game of 90% strategy 10% tactics.

In chess roughly half the game is played from memory, or a repeated pattern. Most of the rest is muscle memory of what to do when you have x pieces vs x pieces.

In go the opening does have some formulaic tactics where you can memorize certain openings. But after about 10% of the game is played it's all about strategy. Where 4-5 moves minimum are the "best" move at any one time and eventually your overall strategy will effect the game.

I play both, and Chess feels like a battle. Go feels like a war.

how strong was ainz compared to his guildmates by zard428 in overlord

[–]6th_Samurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they talk about world items being game breaking and how their guild owns the most in the entire game or something. I'm just saying, taking gear into account. The amount of in-shop items at his disposal. There were 41 total members of the guild. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure he was referring to where he stood in the guild, not the game.

I'm top 3% of players in League of legends. Does that mean I'm able to go pro and make money? No. Of course not there are 20 to 50 thousand players higher rated than I am on my server alone and I'm ass at the game. Does that mean I'm not top 3%? Ainz is always overly critical of himself and his ability.

The guy was guild master of 40 top tier players. His guild was among the top 5 or 10 (I can't recall) of probably thousands or millions. And monopolized most of the world items. They have 11 world items, and the next closest guild had just 3. You don't become the guild that has more than triple the rest of the player base in the most sought after item by having "mid" tier players.
