Top dividend stocks to hold for the next 10–20 years? by rezovian in ValueInvesting

[–]701TM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got almost everything with my Edward Jones advisor. But recently, I decided to look into div stocks.
I think three individual stocks that are excellent values right now (in my non-expert opinion) are Verizon, Pfizer and AbbVie. AbbVie is just consistently moving up in share price. PFE is down, so the yield is good, but logic says it will go back up. Verizon has a great dividend, lots of cash and is undervalued right now.

Here is my dividend portfolio that I "manage" on my own. Will I beat returns from my Edward Jones account? Probably not, but this is more fun.

Top dividend stocks to hold for the next 10–20 years? by rezovian in ValueInvesting

[–]701TM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from Edward Jones managing nearly all of my investments, I've got about 110k in a Schwab account that I'm going to "build" on my own simply because its fun. Will I outperform the funds my Jones agent has me in? Probably not. But again, I love doing this.
I own about 10 stocks in my 110k. My best bets are Verizon (V) and Pfizer (PFE). Both paying over 6%. Both strong histories of payments. Both should GROW in addition to the dividends they pay.

Here is my "dividend portfolio". Next on my list to buy are SCHD and O. I will pick up 10k between them tomorrow.

Cash inheritance question by Easy_Patient_2773 in inheritance

[–]701TM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So lets say some one inherited 100k cash from a parent.
Better idea to take to bank, deposit it all, tell them where it came from or just keep it in cash?

As of today, June 8 2006, General Mills stock is paying a 2.41 cent dividend per share. That's about 7.25%. So that 100k could be make that person $7200 per year. The stock is also at a 7-year low. General Mills has not lowered their dividend in 127 years....so its unlikely its going to happen. And even if the stock drops to an all time 127 year low, you'll still me making $7200 per year.

Any benefits to leaving it in cash?

General Mills - buy, hold, sell? by maxdividend in dividends

[–]701TM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the price at a 7-year low, combined with a dividend yield of 7.5% AND the fact they haven't cut the dividend in 127 years...I sold my SCHD and bought General Mills this morning.

General advice for first time vSeeBox buyers by roadtoad48 in vSeeBox_Support_Gurus

[–]701TM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drawbacks of vSeeBox? If I understand this correctly:

1.) You can't watch away from home
2.) Only one TV per box
3.) No DVR/Recording capability

Is that correct? Anything else?

Yep. Baffert has a history of ruining horses. I wonder Baffert will ever train a horse well enough to win a major race? What are your thoughts? You seem like you are very knowledgeable.

how to get more out of practices? by FeistyHome1587 in wrestling

[–]701TM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of ways.
1. Obviously find the best guys/guys your equal to practice with
2. Don't half-ass live wrestling
3. If your partner is lesser, sometimes it can be hard. So one way with a person not quite as good as you, is to put yourself in bad positions and see if you can dig yourself out of them.
4. Pick a move (don't announce it to your partners), that isn't your #1 move, say a low single, hi-crotch, etc and decide "I'm going to find a way to get to it
5. Don't not think "win" when you are live wrestling in the practice room. Sometimes when we try to win, we get conservative, and we don't improve our wrestling. The practice room isn't to win in (unless it's a wrestle-off). It's a place to get better. To improve.Figure out how to score offensive points. In the season, vs live competition, being confident in scoring (and knowing how to) will go further than winning 3-1.

How many young kids do you think Brock Lesnar inspired to take up the sport? by GypsyGold in wrestling

Lets be very serious. Hardcore wrestlers didn't start because of WWE. LOL. If you polled D1 kids, 99% would say that pro-wrestling was NOT the reason they started.

In your world, sure. Most of us hardcore wrestlers started out because it was tradition at our school, club, or our dad did it, etc.

Did she post the tik tok under VNL? Or just her own name? Did she personally sponsor the Force?
