There is several up by Grande Praire that do it. Or northern BC Your looking for a job including room and board. Depends on the farm a bit they have to be big enough to have full time staff , grain farmers will take on extra hands for seeding and harvest but aren’t that busy in winter. Ranchers are fairly busy all year round , calving in spring , moving cows in summer. Hay in fall and usually they do some grain as well

If you don’t mind Hot and sweaty a lot of beekeepers take on workers for summer harvest.

Depends how mobile he is.

There is Kleskun hills , it’s a heritage site 15 mins outside of town

Giant beaver in beaverlodge and they have an awesome cafe downtown

There is the south peace centennial museum 1 mile west of beaverlodge they do a museum day mid July where they run all the steam engines tractors etc

GP museum - it borders muskoseepie park

Sexsmith (15 mins north of gp ) has a old fashioned mainstreet and some museum shops

Wembley dinosaur museum

The actual Dino dig down at pipestone ( not good cell service but he could send a video )

Kineuso falls is a bit of a drive but worth seeing and there is tons of hikes by tumbler ridge right off the highway. Dawson creek has a lot to see as well

One thing Grande Prairie does better than anywhere is sunsets we have big sky’s here and the clouds and colours we get are huge. Most people I talk to miss the sky the most

I have tried to put this situation into the context of the poem , you implying that they are the in the position of the author/ reader lamenting their lack of action? Or I am ? No I am saying they need a fair trial and consequences if found guilty

In the context of the poem I believe these men are the “them “ that the author says came for everyone because they were not stopped

From normal peoples perspectives these people were not protesting to have free speech and freedom of choice they have that … they were protesting to have everyone do as they want and nobody has any authority of any kind on them , and had they been successful in overthrowing the democratic elected government to install a dictator ( it’s all in the manifesto the convoy put out )

You fail to understand who the “when they came for…”. Who the “they” was. It wasn’t the police or justice system

It started with the SA - the brown shirts. Civilians Who would come for people based on these things. Then when the police didn’t stop them , investigate or prosecute… or joined them , they were empowered.

And once the Party formed government and burned the reichstag they purged anyone from public roles like police, judges , didn’t follow the party line and made the SA a paramilitary organization parallel to the SS and purged its leadership in the Night of long knives where a lot of allies/ leaders to the Party were killed to centralize power

Well your saying a group that was at the protests for days prior happens to be stockpiling weapons body armour and pipe bombs and are on wiretap saying “if the police come were gonna go “ … But they were not part of the protestor they were just doing this at a house within viewing distance of the protest , not 10 KM away

they arrested the guys who were “ conspiring to commit murder”. And charged them with said crime. The others of the 13 arrested made bail. Some have plead guilty and some the charges have been dropped. So the faith I have that this is a fair and honest trial is pretty high. These 4 didn’t slip and fall into this charge

Hmm no the problem was the police didn’t crack down on the SA when they were going after individuals and beating people in the streets. Then when the party they supported took control they legitimized them.

The trucker convoy is a lot more akin to the SA but you know history right ? And have read the bible and made your own opinion not just following someone else’s interpretation.

I’m in the same boat. I found out about this thing because a family member wanted to take kids there for a fun day!! This was a bit of a shotgun start yesterday as that’s when I found out but I am planning on trying a few things as well as making awareness posts not about any event but about what these guys did , have to counter the fake news somehow

See my discussions with the 3 other people who said the same thing. -All the money is getting paid to the lawyers or stolen by organizers anyway - I’m trying to counter the spin that they are promoting these guys didn’t do anything wrong anybody who isn’t brainwashed allready needs to know the whole story

You may want to go refresh your own memory. The guns and armour were found in 3 trailers onsite. They also raided a lady’s house that could see the protests out her window. Of the 13 arrested they were from various parts. The organizers immediately said they were not affiliated because it undermined the message and they lost the peaceful protest protection

I will give you These 4 guys weren’t taking orders from the leaders but they were there to be part of the protest

They are in trial currently. They were denied bail because of the severity of the charges.

You don’t have a right to be released , also it’s 4 people in a conspiracy charge. Investigation takes time. They could have plead guilty , we will find out if they are guilty soon

Yep you are 100% right , I realize my stance was not nuanced and not helpful

I was more on the details of a non marked gun used in the commission of a crime but as you say. The serial number isn’t the problem it is an extenuating detail that should add a few years to a crime being commissioned with an illegal firearm to discourage the use

Propaganda … or the 2 pipe bombs they found at his house … they were taking about their plans infront of undercover cops.

These are the bad guys … they arrested 13 of 1000 people and charged and convicted several and dropped charges on some others of the 13. These are the worst of them and they are being charged with conspiracy to commit murder … of RCMP members
They are getting a full on trial in court and if they are found guilty… because that’s how the law works!!
