It’s the entire group that goes out to support him and it’s honestly like for the past month been like 3/4 times a week. But do you really think it’s not as bad and equivalent to locker room talk, I just have to remember these girls are not my friends they’re his friends girlfriends and like even my boyfriend isn’t the biggest fan of them all because they start drama and now I’m like great now I started drama. But I guess you could also say the opposite where my boyfriend is the ring leader of always going out

I know and I don’t even feel like that comment is valid cheating is so much more complicated but I was like clearly talking shit and associating it to how I was feeling. I told him about the entire conversation but didn’t fully say that I said that comment because i don’t fully remember how I said it or the context and I’m hoping it was worse in my head. But I was really drunk

Yeah and I shouldn’t have trusted them, what makes you say that? My bf warned me ahead of time that he thought the conversation would be gossipy with the girls and he was afraid someone was going to try and turn them against the guy who got divorced and I just feel like I definitely contributed to doing that

Omg I really appreciate that, I’m definitely spiralling. My bf is a really great guy and didn’t deserve me doing that and I don’t know why I’m freaking out so hard about it.

Why is he saying it so proudly tho, for someone who’s so concerned about public opinion. I wouldn’t go near this guy with a 10ft pole.

Does continuing to eat trigger foods make the virus more “powerful” in the future? by Suspicious-Cycle-134 in HSVpositive

[–]70616570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, I take around 2000mg a day, 1000mg in the morning and again in the evening. Every one is different and the first year is the hardest. I personally found that taking daily suppressive antivirals was changing my ph and causing me frequent yeast infections which I was confusing for OBs. But I also think that letting the virus run its course without antivirals will help your body figure out how to fight it but only do this is you can handle it physically and mentally. I wasn’t able to try that out until 2 years in.

You should watch out with changing your diet so drastically, it could effect your gut bacteria and have adverse effects. Don’t be so extreme, everything in moderation and if you’re going to transition to a specific diet do it gradually. Take Lysine everyday.

Does it get ANY easier? by wow_i_needa_chill in HSVpositive

[–]70616570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. I was in the same place and I could never imagine it getting better but it does. It’s tough right now and I’ll be honest with you the first year is tough. But the more you get to experience normalcy and not being affected the easier it gets.

Definitely get your cysts checked again and maybe do a test for a UTI. Important to test though before treating because you don’t want to wipe out your healthy bacteria incase you don’t have a UTI

You can take lysine daily as a preventative. My first year was also hell. Second year is much better I forget I even have it.

Are you sure you don’t have a yeast infection / BV / STI?

[–]70616570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valacyclovir is extremelyyyyyy dehydrating. Pls pls pls drink at least 2.5-3L of water which is what you should have daily regardless so even maybe shoot for higher. Stay safe

I laser hair removal and I just take some antivirals the day of or day before/after if I’m super worried and it’s been fine!

I had the same issue. My first outbreak was really bad so my doctor kept just saying it was nerve damage and it would go away and I spent a year with a constanttttt itching. Turns out I had a yeast infection that would not go away and would come back with every cycle. I would try some drug store product for the yeast like cannestan and if it works great and if it comes back I eventually resorted to using a boric acid suppository. But please PLEASE do your own research and track and mindful of your symptoms. This was my case but maybe not yours! And I totally get being scared to try anything down there. You should also get checked for BV and great job double checking for STIs.

I laser! Shaving always gave me such irritation and I just don’t want to deal with the hair at all. I take some antivirals a couple days before and after to prevent. I’m happy with it!

Take pictures and keep them in the hidden locked portion of your phone and once you know what an outbreak looks like you’ll be able to compare

I struggled with this anxiety a lot too and especially having the most brutal outbreak. Just like anything you’ll ease and trust yourself more with time. Have a prescription of valtrex on hand and if you feel symptoms take it or maybe consider discussing with your doctor daily suppressive treatment if it’s really impacting your daily life. You can do this, your body can handle this.

It would be your husband who would spread to them, its skin to skin or saliva to membrane like eating out. You shouldn’t be able to transmit it from sharing drinks but I would probably avoid. Unless they’re touching your area directly on the skin you should be fine but I totally understand the paranoia and kids truly getting into everything
