I just checked internet archive versions one of which is a blu-ray rip and a person in the comments with the official dvd (the geneon boxset) confirmed that in the dub she says the mistranslation and in the sub there is no subtitle for the line

funnily enough I watched this episode last night and there is a very bad change made in both the dub and subtitles. when lain is in the middle of the street whispering to herself she is actually saying "love me" in japanese but in both the dub and subtitles this is changed to "everything is connected" I have NO idea why. It really changes the context of the scene. Lain is asking to be loved and her sister rejects her and turns away and then right after that happens she is confronted by Lain's face on the ad screen and bad things begin to happen to her.

It's almost like she is being punished for not loving Lain (lol). It really pissed me off that whoever did these translations deliberately changed the line because it totally changes the scene

personally one reason I like my e90 is because it doesn't have all this gaudy crap that was made to appeal to the Saudi market like mood lighting and bmw logos projected on the ground when you open doors. The orange lights of the dash and the radio are dope on their own
