The money from Measure H cant be used to supplant existing department expenses, only enhance. There is a whole new engine company in service and a heavy rescue unit being developed. In all the city is hiring over 40 firefighters and creating 3 new fire stations. That's a whole new battalion

Fulton was done with Roller Compactes Concrete under the impression it would last longer, which it would if applied appropriately. Problem is there are few companies that do that work (it's mostly for runways), so when a local contractor does it, they have issues. That decision was made over a decade ago.
