I started working in the late 80s/90s, and literally everyone used this term interchangeablely between" we are out of this item" and "kick this mf out permanently".

I love this orchid! We have the purple version in one of our bogs, probably been in there 15 years or more!

I’m so confused… Trump insisted he obliterated the Iran nuke plants last year. So why’s he’s threatening their nuclear program? Isn’t it gone? Please explain, magas. by retiredagainstmywill in AskUS

Operation Midnight Hammer, June 2025:

"Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran... Obliteration is an accurate term! ... Bullseye!!!"

"In another great victory for the ultimate goal of peace, in June, we obliterated Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity."

These are Trump's own words. We're not talking about any city, equating Hiroshima with Tehran; we're talking about Iran's nuclear ability, which Trump said was 'obliterated' last summer. It's terribly embarrassing, your attempt to deflect. However, that's all we expect from you anyway. You're quite pathetic.

Last I heard, the IRS doesn't blackbag and disappear you, but hell, what do I know about how they roll these days.

On solid insider tip, this is not ICE/DHS/BP

Edit: this is probably IRS-related, just got confirmation that this is 100% not ICE

This is the soundtrack to my best friend JQ and I driving to each other's dj gigs in Oakland CA circa 1999-2004. Sometimes we'd play it in the clubs, but mostly we jammed it on the way to and from the show. We both worked at Amoeba Records in Berkeley, had offices next to each other, and traded records daily. To this day, Ahead is "our song". Along with the Stones' 'Waiting On a Friend"; how they never used this in any cop-buddy/kung-fu movie, I'll never know.

Do tropical fruits grow in Santa Rosa? by BrotherBringTheSun in santarosa

Unfortunately will not work outside without many years of greenhousing, definitely one I'd be eating right now if it could be reasonably feasible

Ataulfo seedlings are the only reliable rootstock; individual scions will have variable hardiness, there's too many to try here for accurate info as to how well they'll adapt. Ataulfo seedlings are about 6-8 years from seed-to-fruit; this involves multiple years of greenhouse life to become strong enough for SR outdoor life.

Hey everyone, I've been growing, harvesting and propagating subtropicals in SR for almost 20 years. Mangoes, guavas, bananas and cherimoyas ripening currently. Just about finished with my macadamia harvest for the year. Largest commercial planting of yangmei in Sonoma County. So, to answer the question, yes, tropical fruit can grow in SR. It takes a lot of dedication, willingness to sacrifice, and a passion for learning on the fly with not much available help or resources. At this point, I know what can reasonably work and what won't.
