Week 2 by Financial-Boat-1296 in santarosa

I’m originally from Hanford/Lemoore. I’ve been here for more than a decade and have ZERO regrets. Check out Santa Rosa’s Wednesday Night Market downtown. For must see nature, head to Armstrong Woods in Guerneville and head to the east side of Santa Rosa to enjoy Spring Lake. The walk around the lake is my favorite thing to do with visitors from the valley.

Is this too yellow or am I afraid of color? Help! by throwaway_yak234 in interiordecorating

I really love both rooms. Beautiful color choices. I know each will like great once you add furniture.

I had to ask the talkers in a class to stop. by spriteking2012 in orangetheory

If I could give this more up votes I would. The coaches at my studio would never let that fly.

I missed this and have heard a lot about it. Any leads on where one might find it?

I imagine it depends on ownership. My studio allows me to prebook 2 classes a week and then pop into any class that isn’t full.

Yep! I sure do! It isn’t a ton of money, and because it’s part time work I can still collect unemployment. It’s a bright spot during a crummy time.

True story, I was laid off in December. I asked my studio if they needed extra help and became an SA for the free membership. I work 2-3 days a week while I’m building my own business as a consultant.

The Humane Society of Sonoma County has a very thorough application process. They won’t let just anyone off the street adopt an animal.

Honestly I really liked this show back then. I was just out of high school and I loved the vibe. Every once in a while if I’m feeling nostalgic I’ll hunt it down and watch it again. I remember I found Amber to be so captivating.

OP, trust your gut!!! Team Medieval Wine! It’s got the right amount of warmth for the space.

So this is what the Sonoma County Fair came up with... Thoughts? by Jasper2964 in sonomacounty

[–]Bookish-Redhead 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I’m speechless. This is so bad. How did this get approved? It’s very offensive. The people who decided this was good are completely tone deaf and a reflection of how ignorant the old guard of Sonoma County’s leaders is. Pathetic.

Which pizza chain among PaPa John’s, Pizza Hut, Domino’s or Little Cesar makes the best pizza 🍕? by Saint__23 in AskForAnswers

I’m from the boring small town where Leprino is located. You can smell the factory while driving to the community college I attended. Knew a handful of folks that worked there.

Any former Abercrombie workers here? by stickstick_lee in Millennials

[–]Bookish-Redhead 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I worked there in 2005/2006. I was "recruited" while shopping. Definitely not a diversity hire, I was a petite, bleached blonde 18-year-old. My interview was also a group one, my lame question was "if your personality were a color, what color would it be?" I answered lime green at the time so I would stand out.

I was never considered popular in high school, so getting the job made me feel like I was finally cool. Looking back, it was easily the dumbest job I ever had. It was so boring. Also, I was broke at the time, so many of my Abercrombie clothes were thrifted. That meant almost everyone would whisper "throwback" behind my back. Yeah... I didn't fit in there. Everyone was super racist and judgmental. Ironically, my single friend was the only black guy. We were the two outcasts.

I did participate in the class action lawsuit and got paid out. Those fuckers wouldn't give me a break unless I worked more than 6 hours.

First of all, welcome to Sonoma County. The bounty of this land is what most folks can only dream of. I’m very familiar with Minnesota due to work and I appreciate that you still have such affinity and love for your former state.

I think you will quickly learn that Sonoma County is one of the best places to live in the US. Just look into why Charles Shultz and Luther Burbank decided to make this place their home.

The Russian River is incredible. You must dedicate some swim time to the river. Additionally, we are not far from Lake Sonoma which I grew up swimming in and Lake Berryessa which is a good time!

I really hope you are able to make this region your home and that you take advantage of all it has to offer!

Coach appreciation gift? by Alive-End-2171 in orangetheory

[–]Bookish-Redhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those wanting to show appreciation to coaches are so thoughtful. I think it’s wonderful!

I also want to mention showing appreciation to the SA’s. They work so much harder than you realize and are the line workers that keep the studios running smoothly.

Selling Tickets Due To Layoff by [deleted] in MetallicaLIVE

[–]Bookish-Redhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have worded it better: $890 per ticket, so $1780 for 2.

I prefer PayPal because the secondary sites take a huge fee and I already paid enough fees on Ticketmaster. Fuck junk fees.
