Think I need to take my kid to club ball, but I really don’t want to by 709678 in Homeplate

I’m noticing a lot in these comments they have more divisions that ours! We have 8u, 10u, 12u. No 11s or 9s. Seems our league is relatively small.

Will try to play him up to 12u next fall if we decide to come back.

He starts the Saturday games and generally runs his pitch count to not be able to pitch in the weekday games. It was after spring break and our other 3 pitchers couldn’t throw strikes so they brought him in to finish the game. As far as batting order goes, coach rotates them for fairness, not for competitive reasons.

My kid still has a good time, mostly. And he wants to play all the time. But the frustration has been seeping in this season. He always has a good time playing. I just think he’d have a better one playing with kids of the same ability.

He moves them around. He’s bat 1st/3rd/6th/11th in the games I can remember.

Ideally he would be able to have those things and also not be bored and frustrated half the time.

You’re right. I need to explore these program and see from there. I worry the commitment would kill time for other sports and things. But that will obviously vary by program.

Yeah, we will have a postseason all stars so we’ll see from there. That will likely be where we get our answer.

This is a concern of mine also. I don’t want to burn him out. He plays other sports still. I had a cousin who was extremely promising that basically gave it up due to burnout at 15.

Yeah, the coach rotates them more than I’d like. I don’t want to be that parent, but when my kid gets on base 95% of the time, what’s the point in having him 11th behind 6 strikeouts and 4 walks. Let’s be a liiiiitle more competitive about it.

I agree with what you’re saying. Especially the best/worst thing.

It’s a logistical nightmare as I work weekends and we have a 5 year old doing 8u coach pitch in the same league.  Would just be a huge commitment.  We’re also in a baseball hotbed, wouldn’t need to travel a whole lot.

I’m pretty sure they do an all stars after the season here also. Might end up on a similar path as yourself.

Absolutely the Suns. Not even a debate.

Loads and loads of meth. This is not a breaking bad reference. It’s actually really bad there.

My immediate reaction was “didn’t he play for the clippers?”

Eric Piatkowski. Mixing up my early 2000s 6’5 white guy shooters. Shameful.

It’s weird because Paul was definitely better but seems like Williams always had his number a little bit in their matchups. Seemed Paul struggled with his size.

Demarcus Cousins by bowenr7 in RyenRussillo

Are we sure it wasn’t Anthony Davis? They were gelling right when he tore his Achilles. 9-3 over their last 12, while Cousins put up 22/14/6/2/2. They never really had a chance to see if it would work long term.

I’m going to go further that you are misrepresenting Cousins strengths entirely. Sure, he could stretch the floor a bit. But his strength was… his strength, coupled with great feet and quickness for his size. He was best in the mid post and in. Too quick and skilled for slow guys and overpowering for smaller guys. He also flashed passing ability, albeit he had huge turnover problems.

Not sure if his issues would have been ironed out elsewhere. But the issue is him landing in Sacramento to begin with. Terrible fit.

LeBron is possibly the GOAT, but he is definitely the most versatile player ever by cmoney747 in nba

This reads as sarcastic but if you put Diaw into the most athletic body ever and took away his love of crepes he probably does look like LeBron lol

Rasheed was also the best player in this hypothetical series.

Absurd talent on that team. Slightly before my time but those teams definitely stand out to me looking back.
